I noticed in this DF thread that Allan Grohe of Black Blade Publishing said:

I had not read or even heard of that discussion.

Hope Allan will chime in with an update on what is happening, if anything.

I haven't talked with Paul in awhile, but when we last emailed, he was still interested in the project, and was going to see what he had to do to write up the unpublished Ristenby materials. I'll ping him again to see where things stand. Thanks for the poke

I don't put much hope in five year old posts, but the mention of Ristenby is VERY interesting (although I thought it wasn't even written at all).

Areas of interest/knowledge: Harn, WFRP, Ars Magica, anything BRP based such as CoC, Runequest, Pendragon and all their related games

That's an old thread--2006. Though I have the original, a new edition would be welcome. It was a shame to read that Allan suspects the sequel, Ristenby Town, wasn't written.

Still, it would be nice to see.

I don't either, which is why I don't run around talking about it much. When I was first talking to Paul about it, I was still working with Tadashi, which has been quite awhile....

IIRC Paul said that he had some notes/outlines, but that was all---so, if any of that survived, he would still be basically starting to write from scratch.

We had talked about compiling Embertrees with the original materials, and then any newer stuff from Ristenby.

If that were to ever happen, might as well pull in the other cool articles from White Dwarf about medieval societies and towns - classics in their own right.
