It would be great to know if the Dungeon Issue 70 I have is complete. It's got 51 leaves/102 pages, including front and back covers.
After trying several searches I haven't had any luck turning up a site that has page-count details for #70.<surprised>
Does anyone know if there's a site?

I'd have to dig out the issue but 102 pages actually sounds like too many.

Mine's buried, but checking sites I see 72, 78, 80 pages (gamer's guide) mentioned.  Also says there is the 16 page D&D fast play game in this issue.

So at most that would be 100 pages with covers

If you count the subscription insert (it is one of those full page inserts with three subscription postcards. It can be found between pages 72 and 73) I get 98 1/2 or 102 1/2 counting outer/inner cover. So I see where the 102 count comes from.

The issue is numbered to page 78 with pages 79/80 as ads but the center staple is between pages 32-33 because the fast play game is numbered seperately.

The magazine goes numbered page 4 then a two page ad for 5/6 then the fastplay game that runs 16 pages (with the blank half page of the sub insert between pages 2/3 of the fast play).

80 pages of dungeon

2 pages of printed subscription offer

16 pages fast play game

4 pages counting inner/outer covers

Thanks everyone.
Seems like Jason's copy's like mine. The covers equal two leaves (4 pages), plus the numbered pages, plus unnumbered ad inserts and fast-play tip-ins, all work out to 102 pages. The copy I have was a backstock item from an lgs, so I was pretty sure it was complete. But I've been wrong before (the record of prolonged ignorance being finding out I was mistaken about completeness ten years after picking up my first copy of H1!).
Jason, was your copy part of a subscription?

[BTW: It was the Kingdom of the Ghouls adventure that motivated me to get this issue. <cool>]

Sorry, picked it up from ebay in a collection no doubt. (I sold my original run of Dungeons then got back into gaming again).

I noted that this is the Kingdom of Ghouls. Wolfgang's scenario isn't it? Wasn't there some private production of this campaign?

Empire of the Ghouls from Wolfgang Baur's Open Design is what you are referring to.  It is not a rewrite or a sequel to the Dungeon #70 scenario though.  More of a True Ghoul sourcebook than anything.

I've read WotC's E2 module (Kingdom o/t Ghouls), but not Baur's Empire. Which came out first?

Baur's Dungeon Adventure;

Then his Open Design Version years later;

Then the WOTC version.

The first version is by far the best, and the only one that is playable as written (for 2nd edition), although there are a few good salvagable bits in the Open Design Version.

Here is our own Acaeum wiki listing:

http://wiki.acaeum.com/wiki/Dungeon_70

The series was put up by Acaeum members, mostly by Avurax.

Just remember, any Acaeum member can add to and/or edit pages.

I'll put the info from JasonZavoda on page numbering onto our own page.
