Don't get me started.

A couple quick comments though.  In general small press stuff is very hit or miss.  The nature of small press is that there aren't as many levels of editing or filtering that would happen compared to established companies - also means small press companies are more likely to take big risks on material - sometimes good but sometimes terribly bad.

Most of what you have on your list is fairly well know small press stuff:

* Starstone - good stuff, author has other stuff in White Dwarf magazine.
*Infernax - okay as a product (its a spellbook) but content not worth the money these sell for.
* Authentic Thaumaturgy - a number of different prints, you can probably find a GURPS version for $5 but then you don't get the classic picture of Bonewits
* Manual of Aurania - fairly cheap to pick up from Noble Knight (in SW for $15)
* Necromican - good piece for what it is, again by some people who would become known in the field (Erol Otus)

*  my favourite of the Le Dernier Cercle items is La Sève de l'Esprit because I'm very fond of the cover art  Ask Loki about content.

* An Infernicum Mallemancia - not sure if this is an RPG item or just a book of info.

You could do a lot worse than these items.  Another popular series (because it is good) are the Companions items.  Also, the Complete Dungeon Master Series of boxed sets by Integrated Games are good (later converted to the Doomstones books for Warhammer).

Thanks for the quick feedback! I have seen some stuff on a few of these titles here at The Acaeum, but as you may have noticed this forum's Search function is not terribly selective or efficient.

In general I value weirdness more than quality. With this post I am fishing for the most weirdo stuff, basically.

I don't know if it classifies as weird or small, but I like the Dragon Tree Press and Tunnels & Trolls stuff I got a while back. I didn't know anything about it and bought some blindly on eBay at fairly good prices (considering other comparable auctions).

I consider both well written; kinda weird, too.

The eyes of all the figures in this book look like they belong to someone else. The cover appears to have bird eyes, the demon has a puppy's. A very weirdly disturbing effect. Maybe the artist thought it would be good symbolism for role-playing: the body is the character's, the eyes are the player's. -Avalon Hill's Witchcraft Ritual Kit & Black Magic Ritual Kit. Not bookcase games, but bookcase kits, cause when you buy it you're tapping into powerful mystical energies beyond all control. The very existence of these things makes both perfect sense (you can find purported witchcraft kits at any bookstore today), & no sense at all. Maybe I should just accept that it's 1974, man, & the release of The Exorcist has caused riots of deranged theatergoers bursting forth in murderous demonic possession from every cinema at the moment the film starts rolling. Or so I gathered from talk around the elementary school playground. Good times.
