I've seen references everywhere for the last two books in the series, but have yet to see cover art or proof that these were actually released. Can anyone verify for me if these are real?

- The Test (Endless Quest, #48; Greyhawk) by Wes Nicholson
- Sands of Deception (Endless Quest, #49; Al-Qadim) by Jean Rabe

I don't believe they were.. I didn't know Wes did this actually.. he was the Aussie RPGA head guy for years, he wrote a couple of modules as well.. Might shoot him an email and make sure..

They were never released commercially...but it would be interesting to see if they were ever actually written, or if proofs were done of covers. I'd contact Jean Rabe, she is still floating around the gaming community, see if she remembers what became of these.

I remember asking Jean Rabe about this. I think the response was that nothing was ever written for them.

The Test was "finished it, turned it in, got it back, did the changes the editor asked for, got paid, it got killed off, I got a kill fee and ownership of the story except any TSR proprietary stuff"

The story is currently being written up as a novella...

Wes also has mention "Betrayed" as well.. "it was part of the Wildspace product line. Afaik, none of that ever came out. But yes, it got as far as being ready for the printer before it got killed".. don't know if it was a endless quest book or not..I'm assuming it was..

Some of those old Endless Quest books you're looking for were never printed. A few of us authors wrote the books, and the books were ready to go, but TSR dropped the line. Those books included my Sands of Deception (which I'd like to find on one of my computer disks . . . argggh!) and Wes' book. I don't know about the others, but you might want to e-mail the Wizards of the Coast book department.

Wow.. answered by proxy from the author's themselves. Way better answer/response that I could have ever hoped for! Thanks for the information, I'll put my search for those Endless Quest to rest and know to avoid the few I see hanging around Amazon.com asking for $250+ for a used copy. I thought it looked like a scam..

I can verify that "The 24-Hour War, #47" by Nick Pollotta was published and is the book in the series right before "The Test".

Interesting to hear news about "The Test". I still have plenty of these in the middle to collect, but wanted to know more about the last two as I've never even seen cover art.

All the others on the usual lists exist. They generally aren't all that hard to find but usually get them shipped one at a time ends up costing a bit.
