... one of the few groups besides RPGA that was around during the hayday of my youth gaming days was ARGH!.... does anyone know what ever became of these fellows? I still have a handful of issues of the newsletter that I used to recieve in the mail for being a member, and quite a few of the members were people I considered very good friends. Just thought I'd toss it out there & see if anyone else remembers this group.

Narrowing it down... well, as for time, this was circa 1991 to 1992, and I've lived in Houston all my life... I remember them running Tournaments at Nancon 87 & 88 (1993 & 1994 respectfully). I even found the convention booklet from Nancon 88 in my stuff (digging for facts last night) - in the contents page, the ARGH! / RPGA Directors for the convention were listed as two people - TERRY HAWKINS and LORI HARSHANEY. I remember Lori, she was pretty cool... but Terry doesn't ring a bell. I recall walking thru the dealers room, seeing old Lou Zocchi and his corner, good times... just wish I could track down any ex-ARGH members. OH, also, the magazine newsletter was called (if I'm not mistaken) ARGHazine. Hope this helps.

You mean Third Planet? That's another great store. It used to be in a house in the neighborhood, & was called TP Books & Records. You could buy your D&D & punk rock vinyl with one convenient stop.
