I'm not sure what to do with my 300 or so issues of Dragon; they number from 69-354. At some point in the near future, I want to get rid of them, at the local tip if necessary. (I live in Cheshire, England BTW.)

Maybe as a last ditch attempt I'll list them at say £100 on ebay. In any case, if anybody did want them, through ebay or otherwise, they will have to be picked up by collection, as they weigh something like 70+ Kg. Perhaps if they don't sell on ebay I should mention them on Paizo.com or dragonsfoot? Any suggestions?

The problem with selling Dragon mags has been the shipping cost as compared to their relative value. While you can find takers for them when the cost of shipping is worked in the deal is much harder to make. I'm not sure what 100pounds is in greenbacks but for 300 issues I'd think you'd find a taker (depending on condition and the cost of shipping).

I have been toying with the idea of shredding the ones I want to get rid of to use as packing material.

I hear ya. I'll be moving soon, and looking at the handful of boxes devoted just to magazines is daunting. I've already given away around 100 lower-grade issues to a friend who still actually plays, to read/use, and I can't figure out how to make any money on the rest without selling them individually (something I'm not prepared to do from a time management perspective). I'll either jettison them, or more likely reluctantly have the movers pack them with everything else. If I could just clear a buck or two apiece I'd sell in a heartbeat.

The other problem is finding someone who would want a big run. I still have a few issues here and there that I need, but I would not buy a big lot, because then I'd just inherit the problem of being able to turn them over.

Realistically, sell/trade what you can, then donate/trash the rest.

Areas of interest/knowledge: Harn, WFRP, Ars Magica, anything BRP based such as CoC, Runequest, Pendragon and all their related games

How about offering them to someone else...for free?

I mean, sell the ones that you can sell, but trashing DRAGON magazines is just not cool.

At the least offer them to a good new home if that new owner pays shipping.

if you're going to dump em, why not give em to Killjoy? They would have a good home and he's not that far from you - on mersey side?

Well, if someone wants to dump them... I'll take whatever you don't want. I pretty much have 6 whole issues, and of those, maybe 1 is in collectible shape and none (maybe I have a #6 -- I'd have to look again) of them are in the sweet 1-20 range. I mean, if you're just going to destroy them...

Jason hit the nail on the head. It's the cost of shipping that's the problem, plus I'd rather not break them up.

FormCritic, don't worry; I'd prefer they would go to a good home, too.

Someone on here has got in touch with me about them... so maybe they will go to a good home yet!

Plus Killjoy owns and runs a bookstore now....maybe it's something he could sell in his store, I don't know if he sells much gaming stuff but you never know.
