Just bought up a bunch of stuff, and got three of these TSR book racks. Wow! iirc, these were early 1990's or so, and only produced for a few years. I think they were only available to stores, but I'm not sure of that.

That's a nice shelf.  You might make more money if you sell off the 5 "TSR TSR TSR" backplates by themselves :)  They would be easier to ship.

It breaks down, so shipping woouldn't be too horrible, even for the whole rack. But thanks for the idea! :)

What makes you think it is associated with TSR? :)

Is the shelf made from wood or pressboard?  It is hard to tell from the photo.

The shelf is very reminiscent of the TSR signs.  I would probably suspect that they are 80s rather than 90s.

No, no!  Take some GladWrap, wrap it all over, and sell it on eBay!   If plastic bags count as shrink wrap on reprints of Palace of the Vampire Queen, then plastic wrap should work as shrink for book shelves!  :twisted:

i believe they were 1988-89ish (and probably for a few years thereafter). i put together a couple of those myself, back in the day.

IIRC back around the late 80's (as per stratochamp's comment) if you signed up for the monthly TSR package (this was an pre packaged assortment of TSR products released every month) they would send one of these shelves to you free.  The assortments would include one or more of every release TSR product.  You got the shelf at the start of the program and more shelves if you carried on with it or ordered more than one of the pre-packaged assortments.

I know a store in Portland, Oregon that still has several of these shelves in use.

And no, I already asked....they refuse to take offers on them.   :wink:
