I hope there weren't ever tables dedicated to this game at Gen Con

I actually had this game for awhile, and we used to play it on vacations with the entire family. Actually a pretty fun game. I never lost once.

I bought a copy at the Gen Con auction one year, for my wife, who watched AMC religiously. I thought it would show that even at Gen Con, I was still thinking about her. It didn't work. :roll:

See also the Honeymooners game (per Jackie Gleason and the old TV series), Mike Farrell's Broadway game (Mike of MASH fame), and the multiple (4?) Party Zone games, all in the same squarebox format, all from that brief experimental era.

I am surprised that a lot of these games were made in such quantity. I have picked up some of them from Goodwill / Value Village for $2. Some, like the All My Children game must have sold fairly well.

Um... minimum print runs (lotsa components) plus standard distribution commits resulted in plenty of product. Wouldn't say they sold well, tho; I don't recall any reprintings, certainly not in the Party Zones. The two TV show licenses may have sold fairly well for one or two sales cycles.
