OK, I am curious, as these must exist in some fashion, though maybe excruciatingly rare, but I mean the magazines or documents mentioned in issues of The Strategic Review. I do not have all the issues in print form, and right now, I do not have access to my Archive to look at the pdfs, but I am wondering about stuff, namely...

CITEX -- what this was (seems like some kind of convention) and what D&D stuff was there as it mentions tournaments

Kranor-Rill (apparently some kind of magazine)

Whether Greg Costikyan (I believe this is the same one who did games like Toon) did form his D&D magazine and print anything, likewise with Scott Rosenberg and the titled magazine "The Pocket Armenian"

Liaisons Dangereuses (looks to be a magazine) by Len Lakofka, seemingly well before he was a TSR guy

Lew Pulshiper and Scott Rich's "Dying Earth" game variant

Scott Rich's Kam-Pain and the magazine Rumor

Great Plains Game Players Newsletter which seemingly had a "fair amount of D&D related material"

and so forth...

Anyone have any ideas about any of these? Am I just wishing beyond wishing to try and find any of it?

Lakofka's Liaisons Dangereuses was a "Dippy 'zine", which I believe means it was devoted to Diplomacy.

Lew Pulsiphers Dying Earth game was a Diplomacy variant.  The SR doesn't state how the variant was distributed.  The variant is listed at variantbank.org, which is an impressive site, incidentally.  It lists the rules for some of the variants, but not Pulsipher's Dying Earth.  DE isn't listed as one of the lost variants, so I will contact them and see if I can get the rules, or at least find out how they were distributed.
