Hi,

its that time of the year again.

Dragonmeet, on the 27th November, at Kensington Town Hall.

And no, the website will not get updated (it never does), but miraculously every year this turns into a fantastic convention.

Be there. Or not.

Hi,

another good convention

Had a long chat with Ian Livingstone, and got him to sign a few items. Also acquired his copy of "Art of D&D".

Very busy on the stall - up more than 50% on previous years.

In the auction, bought myself a character in any Cubicle 7 book I fancy

probably be one of their Dr Who products.

I missed a lovely WFRP parchment world map in a leather tube - not sure if it was hand drawn and coloured - but apparently a promo when Warhammer Fantasy first came out. Went more than I wanted to pay.

Sounds interesting. Never heard of this. How much did it go for?

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Hiya,

not so much interesting I didn't think, as previous years.

Bring N Buy didn't have much I wanted - I bought a pre-D20 Kingdoms of Kalamar box set with 3 modules for £8, but that was all.

Got a Dr Who tardis soap from another stall, and a "Dragonmeet only, limited to 52 copies" cthulhu module.

There was no obvious pattern to our sales - stronger than normal in GW and Cthulhu, but given Ian Livingstone was there, and there was a Yog Meet, thats not a great surprise. Other than that, right across the board.

The map was of the original WFRP fantasy world, in a leather-look map case with brass ends, and had a sticker with "Black Library, promo" and a number on one end. its former owner reckoned that it was given out when WFRP first launched, and was given to shops who "pre-ordered shedloads of product". I followed it up to £150, but it sold for £300 ($450). A very pretty item.

Ian Livingstone did part of the auction, and he put in some signed books, which mostly went about the £10 mark. Cubicle 7 put in "1 release of your choice every month for the next year", someone else put in $150 worth of pdfs from their website.

Other than that there was just a general load of stuff - nothing else I bid on.

Should be mentioned that ALL profits from the Dragonmeet auction go to charity.
