Can't ship 'em Media Mail, so they must be shipped Flat-Rate Priority Mail or Parcel Post. If the games fit in a Medium Flat Rate box, then use that; the faster the package moves through the Postal System, the better. If the games don't fit in a Flat-Rate box, then Parcel Post is the only remaining option. Parcel Post can be cheaper for lighter packages, and you can choose a box with a lot of space for packing materials.
Bag the components (rules, counters, etc) individually and put them inside the boardgame box. Use some packing material inside the box to prevent shifting and banging inside the boardgame box.
Wrap the boardgame box in a plastic bag to minimize water damage. Then wrap the box in something that absorbs impact. Bubble wrap works OK. Cutting cardboard to fit around the box is a better idea. Doing both is even better.
Then put the boardgame box inside the final shipping box (Flat Rate or other box). Put lots of peanuts, bubble wrap, newsprint, stiff foam, or something around the boardgame box so nothing shifts around.
Internally or externally (non-Flat-Rate) reinforcing the shipping-box corners is optional.
