I vaguely remember Paul Stormberg alluding to the fact that one of the earlier printings of D3 mono had some textual differences around Encounter R2-47.

There's no discussion of the crevasse in the module, but the map piece for encounter VIII clearly displays a circular crevasse surrounding the central island.  My recollection is that Paul asserted that in an earlier printing of D3, the permanent illusion covers the crevasse, which will kill PCs falling into it.

Does anyone know if the text in the first or second printings of D3 speak to this crevasse?  My third printing mono has no such comment.  (It's also possible that this was a modification made by Paul---that he decided that the pit was super-deep, or whatever).

Thanks!
