Too many ebay store listings on ebay

This will never happen, but I wish ebay would come up with an easier way to screen out sellers. The flood of store listings with the same near retail piles of same old same old soon to be liquadated releases is clogging up the site.

I would also like to have a blocked sellers list in the same way I have a blocked bidders list.

You can eliminate a certain number of specific words and a smaller number of specific sellers from search results, but there are a flood of these sellers.

In general Troll & Toad, nerdvana, dicehead, arthurs, frpgames, etc... are not listing the kind of items I'm looking for, nor are the endless listings for dice and D&D miniatures of any interest to me. Blocking 10 sellers allowed me to eliminate 5,000 items from the buy it now section (not sure how many from the auction listings). But it would be incredibly useful to be able to block listings from sellers with even a hundred or so listings that flood the RPG section. Lord knows the book section is simply impossible.

Ah, if the powers that be could only be struck down and replaced with my minions.

I usually, when I search, do something like -(dice, die, maga*, mini*, mina*) and then also block by seller name. Granted, I might not get everything removed I don't want to look at, but it gets rid of a bunch.

I find the endless listing of D&D minis without mini or miniature in the title to be particularly annoying, but also items like Pathfinder which I am interested in but not at a higher price then I could pay at paizo, or the endless stream of identical 3rd party crap sold at retail or close that will be in a dollar bin next year. Private sellers are fine, but the online retailers are useless to me. I am looking for a higher signal to noise ratio.

Miniatures without the "mini" or "miniature" in the title are infuriating.

I add "figure" "figurine" and "model" to the filter as well as "Ral" "Partha" "Heritage" and "Reaper" to the exclusion list.

Still get miniatures gumming up the works.

Man, I totally agree with this. You see people like Troll and Toad, who perpetuate certain artificial prices for items, and I just want to avoid them. I don;t want every guy offering a 1e PHB for 35 bucks cluttering my listing.

The minis thing is infuriating. If I 'm looking for them, fine, but the mass listings kill me.

I never knew you could do this, but now I found it under Advanced Search! That's pretty nice, but I can see how you may need more than 10 sometimes.

I'm always haunted by the one or two sellers who list their item in the completely wrong category or with a poor description, or with spelling errors, so the items keep showing up in my searches . . .

Jason, I've been annoyed by the same things. If nothing else, it's good for me to know I'm not alone.

Dice; minis; dice & minis; dice, dice & minis; dice, minis & more dice; minis, minis & dice--starts me thinking of the old MP skit about spam, eggs, sausage, and spam!
It's why I'm not trolling through eBay's spam anymore.

I agree: the minions need to provide separate categories.
