Wow.

The closest I have is a signed, limited edition print of some Looney Toons characters I got back when times were good.

I remember WAY back in the early 80's, there used to be ads in the Dragon from some company that would take your character and create art out it, but never looked into it.

I had one done for me back in the 80's and sadly it's gone. It was really cool. Those were pretty cheap too!

I had a friend in my D&D group that was going to Fullerton State in the mid 70's. He was there with John Sullivan who did the cover for Dragon #10. John would paint a watercolor of your favorite character for a fee. This is accually my wifes favorite character. We got it for a wedding present. I had it framed years later.

He's not hanging up on the wall...yet. This is a portrait that Jim Holloway did of Deogolf the Enchanter, a character in Gary's Thursday night LA campaign. This was supposed to be the spoils of stopping the Witch Doctor from killing us with the Drum of Death. I can't remember what pane it was the Hall of Many Panes adventure.

I know Richard Huxley and Sherlane were sold by me for Jim. The others are MIA. Well, except for Felonius now.

And you didn't even offer to sell 'em to the author, nor notify me when they were for sale.

Would've outbid everybody, fyi.

I had to find Felonius at an art sale.

And I am NOT happy about the fate of the art originals used in my modules.

Sorry, Frank! I'll have to chat with you about the last part. I'm curious as to the "art sale" for certain reasons. Not that it would do any good at this point, but it would answer some, if not a lot, of questions.

I have never had one of my characters illustrated, but I did have one made for my wife, having won that privilege for the Adventurer Card Game. I'll see if I can post a pic of it... even got into print so that's cool.

This illustration depicts some of the characters from our gaming group, the FoJ. My gnome/illusionist character, Glimshoi, is behind the ogre.

Edit: The artist is Keith Christensen.

I had this commissioned from Roslof a few years ago. The original group I DM'd back in the 70s and 80s went through the complete G-D-Q series, and survived to start their own kingdoms in the WOG. The characters are still active after 30 years although we only game with them once every few years or so. I thought this sketch might be a great reminder of those days of yore, Jim did an outstanding job.

This is a remake of Roslof's Q1 cover, with the main characters from the three primary players (and one prominent NPC) taking the place of the characters on the original module cover. As visitors to my office can attest, I am way past due getting this beauty framed and placed in a spot of honor.....
