Does anybody have a complete Dungeon Fantasy Board Game 1981 version that can detail the exact and original contents?
Thanks!

I've noticed at least two different printings of the 1981 game with the Roslof cover art. I should take some photos and post what I have, but it'll take a little while to go through it all. I'm thinking the number of card pieces should be the same, but I can definitely say that one of the rulebooklets is shorter and has art that the longer rulebooklet doesn't have. The version with the shorter rulebook also came with a special note about the two dice included.

I did a quick search on the site as well as on tomeoftreasures.com, but I don't see a detailed research thread on the different 1981 printings, but I could've missed something.

From boardgamegeek, I found a file that lists these components. Can anyone else confirm?

1 Game board
• Cards
o 61 Monster
o 80 Treasures
o 24 Spells
• Counters
o 110 Dead Monster Gravestones
o 15 pairs of numbered Stack counters
    1-15
• 2 six sided dice
• 8 Pawns (2 of each color)
o Blue
o Green
o Red
o White

I have seen a total of 165 cards and a total of 220 although I think the latter might be in the 1974 version.

Also don't know the total number of counters.

The list you mentioned matches mine that came with the eight page rulebooklet.

The other printing I have has a four page rulebooklet, and an extra sheet detailing the new "dragon dice" and a crayon.

So your copy has 165 cards and 140 counters?

Are you planning on selling it or did you just pick it up and were wondering if it was complete?

Also, how many pages is the rulebooklet?

I am checking to see if my Dungeon Board Game set is complete. I luckily bought a copy from ebay where the counters were unpunched (one sheet of counters), all cards unpunched (3 sheets of 55 cards each), and the dice/pawns were still in the bag. Box has heavy wear but unpunched and unopened contents are hard to find!

Was this the one you got?

** expired/removed eBay auction **

If so, it has the four page rulebooklet I was talking about with the art. The other version I have has more detailed rules and almost no art. Both have a copyright of 1981 listed.

However, in this set, I have the dice with a crayon and the note about the dice being better quality "dragon dice". It's a small slip of paper, maybe a quarter page in length.

Yes, that was the auction I won.

I was surprised to see no parts list in the instructions. Do your instructions have a parts list?

I had also seen somewhere that there were 220 cards but that might have applied to one or both of the earlier edition Dungeon games.

I didn't see anything mentioned in the rulebooklet or the box bottom. I don't know about the 220 cards since I don't own the first edition of the game.

A previous auction for that 1975 version listed this as "complete contents":

In addition to the playing mat, colored markers, dice and instruction sheet, game also includes the following cards:

18 Level 1 Gold
24 Level 2 Orange
38 Level 3 Red
42 Level 4 Purple
44 Level 5 Green
30 Level 6 Blue
23 Blank (assorted colors)
36 Spell Cards
