My favorite Boxed Game Art





Please post a picture or scan of your favorite Box Cover Art for RPG Game (or War Game).

NOTE: I am asking about your favorite cover art from any Boxed Set, NOT cover art from books, or modules.
Just Box Sets... or Boxed Games.
That would also include Bookcase Games.
It could be a game you have never played, or have played and hated the game itself, but LOVED the art on the Box.

For me, this is what started it all.  

I am glad you saved me the time of digging the image and posting it.

This for me is also what started my lifelong hobby and I I feel warm inside ever time I see that image.  I wish I still had it, but once my original box disintegrated, I cut off all the raggedy sides and framed the box top.  Sadly, it vanished in one of my many moves back in the mid 90s.

Mhmm; recalled atmosphere/gameplay is perhaps at least as much a factor as "good art", and there is perhaps an inevitable (retrospective?) clichéd feeling in many such box artworks?

Rather fond of the old RM box sets artwork, too, for similar reasons.

Somewhat jealous, though, that we didn't have any RPGs with art by Roger Dean.

Ugh....I still don't understand why they couldnt have gotten permission to use the artwork from the movie poster.  I just dont care for the art they used for it.
