I think shrink wrap should get it's own category as these items can do crazy $$$. Of course the problems with tears and possible re-shrinking and wear on the wrap. Someday there will be variations of your shrink wrapped modules: Mint shrink wrap, Near Mint shrink wrap... nobody will give a fuck about the contents of the package anymore

Ask me about my new M16!

Nobody?
Sorry, Nobody is not accurate.
I will still care.
I think your statement was made tongue in cheek...

SW means only a couple of things to me.
(Assuming it is original SW)
1) Item is complete... meaning that if more than one thing should be in there, then it almost certainly is.
2) Most probably Near Mint contents.

After that I care little for SWed items.
And the level of SW condition means nothing to me as long.
As the Contents are fine of course.

Example of not so good.
A SWed Box set that is crushed so badly that it is as thin as an ants behind....
Obviously the stuff inside will be badly/horribly abused.
NOT even close to NM in that case.

Updated list

Note to Acaeum valuation board members
Is it still interesting that I update regularly this list ?

List is for SW items in mint condition, no large tears in SW, no flaws on the covers such as creases, bent corners, mold (yes I've already seen a module plenty of mold on cover under the SW...). Some descriptions do not mention if flaws on item or tears in SW, I assume that item is mint, of course I can't be sure. Collectors mention generally tears and flaws.

I have a red Basic Set somewhere and the shrink is in perfect condition.  The box looks like and elephant has sat on it but the shrink is good. :)

Congratulations Guerret, I13 is not a common item in SW, I'm searching for one since a long time. Did not see it on Ebay recently.
Good find ! Price is not crazy at all.
Glad for you.

The Acaeum valuation board tracks module prices in all conditions on a regular basis, using a separate methodology.  (In theory, at least...it's been very quiet lately.)  They do not specialize in SW items per se.

As for whether or not this information is interesting -- that's a question best asked to the membership at large.  I personally have zero interest in SW; whereas my good buddy smarmy1 drools over the stuff.

I know. It took me five years to get hold of one.

I have an interest in the list (I actually maintain my own, but have not had time to get the info typed into anything shareable in an electronic form), but I will point out that the pricing is kinda dependant on shipping.  I'll point at the last H1 for example - I have 2 previous seen for 117 and 114, but that includes shipping.  The one just added is listed at 79, but the shipping with the advert was qouted at 40ish.  Which puts that one sold at 119.

That might skew prices around quite a bit depending on the rarity and free/international shipping.

The list is helpful in its way, but more detail would greatly improve it. It would also help to note if it is the same two buyers driving these prices up. Shipping cost, location (USA, Europe or Canada) and destination would be worthwhile knowing, but as an off the cuff list, it is a help.

I posted this question in the collecting appraisal forum but since it is related to SW items, what would be a fair market value for shrink wrapped Monstrous Compendiuim Dragonlance Appendix (the second binder in the series)?

I saw that. I'm not sure but I believe a couple of shrinkwrapped MC items recently sold on ebay. Do a search and check completed items. That might give you an idea.

Wow! The term "chaotic neutral" springs to mind when reading through that eBay pricing list!
Thanks Dwarf.
I wonder what the missing SWed WGR3-5 (I have them) will sell for ...

So should this one be added to your list?

Quite a few not yet on the list - Rs, RPGAs, UK & Oz prints, for example - but fun to watch anyhow (*adds thanks*). I wouldn't have called all the above "mint", but I guess that's not what people are paying for. ;)

B1 gets a smile, btw. :)
