$170.  That's quite the mark-up.  I think my favorite part is the additional two cents in the BIN price.  How do they come up with that?  Dice rolling?   :roll:

Its probably due to the percent increase for selling on Ebay to cover their fees.  Their store probably has a more rounded price.  Its just part of the automated T&T Ebay listing machine - no human touch.

That is a ridiculous markup.
i think the weird cent pricing thing has to do with their calculation for incorporating ebay fees when they list it on ebay versus selling it directly from their store.

edit: Mars beat me to the punch on that comment!

I feel like someone is going to say that this isn't outrageous...

Havent seen one of these in awhile (havent been looking either).  I think the most I ever saw one go for was a bit over $300.  So yeah....$1000 seems a tad high.  :roll:

It's interesting, but for that price, and given that it's still a first prit 4e, I'll wait for the errata-changed version.

<wink>

"Each numbered lot comes with its own unique Certificate of Authenticity personally signed by Gary's widow Gail Gygax and an image of Gary's own signature stamp from 1983. "

So, I dunno if these qualify as "silly", but alot of stuff (even in shrink) seems way out of control.  Granted I dont track Gamma World, but the some of the other items listed by the auction company have been bid up to um... wtf prices.  Or maybe I am completely underestimating the value of the 'Certificates of Authenticity' here.

Apparently. The value of a CoA and a (Gail) Gygax signature seems to have risen sharply, if perhaps temporarily.

Not a silly asking price, but great sale price.

Been noticing a rise in sales for these lately, but this one beats any one I've sold by a long shot.

Starting price of just $4.95 was very good for one in that minty looking condition.

I would have paid upwards of $15... maybe even $20 for one that nice... but yeah... $61 is way too steap.

After $28 it was between 2 bidders, with just 6 and 11 feedbacks each.
