Several excellent condition monochromes in there.

Seems a strange time to be putting up these rares. The soaring US$ compared to other currencies shuts out much of the world from the market - and many are doing it tough over there we hear.

Three months ago, I would consider bidding, but with some predicting the A$ to drop to 50 cents US, my days of prolific buying from the US are coming to an end!

I'm with Frank on this one, though.  The free ride is over, and it's about time.   :D

From the item description:

The prepub modules from RPGA are some of the rarest D&D items in the world and one of the markers that separates the great D&D collections from the very good.

So according to TFM if I have three of everything but dont own any pre-pubs my collection is just good?  Might as well just sell off everything I have and just acquire some pre-pubs eh?  :?

Really sad, most of my best customers are overseas.

You can tell the ride is over by the amount of overseas buyers who now are trying to negotiate better shipping prices from me, instead of paying immediately as in months past. One problem is my shipping is already extremely reasonable, so cutting it is not an option unless it's a huge order.   Ironically the rise of the American dollar is hurting my business more the last month than anything that happened in the economy the last year!!!

What with this and the last super-big-ticket auction - the impression I get is someone flaunting their collection, rather than actually wanting to sell  :D Plus I suppose it gets more people to see their auctions, possibly boosting the prices of his other items...?

Hey - check out the question!

What does rated #3 on the Acaeum site actually mean.  If he has a rating how come I don't?

Anyway my collection is crap, I have no pre-pubs sadly.  A few original manuscripts, some humdrum original paintings, a few rares bouncing around on the coffee table. I wish it was as good as his you know

Your collection is yours and I'm sure you enjoy it.  My collection is probably worth less than $2,000.00 and I love it.  It's more D&D stuff than I've ever had, and it's about all I can read and keep track of.  If I get too much more, it'll start getting in the way of my life.
