WeatherUnderground says that the humidity is 83% . . . at 10PM.

The bulb temperature is 86F, which is bad enough for 10PM, but the Heat Index is 99F. Watch out for the heat if you stay outside.

Wah. It was 104 F in Dallas today....and that was without the heat index. Humidity didnt seem too bad though.

It's 9:40 PM and still 97 F. :sunny:

Any announced items list for the Gygax charity auction yet?

I saw this posted about an "unannounced" item on the memorial fund page

GYGAX MEMORIAL CHARITY AUCTION will be held at 6pm on Fri in Game Auction Rm124. There is a special unannounced item that will be auctioned!

This thread is just killing me. I don't have time for anything. Six weeks of travel has absolutely totally FUBARed my life. It is going to take me two more weeks just get right again. In the meantime, football started so now I leave the house at 6 a.m. and get home around 8:30 p.m. four nights each week for the next month.
Dang, I need a vacation!
Still a microscopic chance to get to Indy on Saturday if I end up going to Chicago (for work, again!) on Friday. The odds are not good, though.
Have fun everyone!

Well, I am officially out. My Chicago stuff is postponed until next week, which is actually better for me. But now I can't squeeze a day in at GC. Oh well, somebody burn a bunch of cash for me at the auction!

Some observations of Gencon 2010.

Crowds are down significantly.

There is unused booth space on the exhibit floor.

More under 20 (years old) kids than I have ever seen. And they seem to be buying.

The game that seems to be going gangbusters is something called Deathwatch. Lines were long at the booth.

In the auction room: The resellers had a field day. They bought everything worth buying for low prices.

THe line for the auction store was never NOT out the room. In other words the wait to get into the store was long at all times.

At the Acaeum dinner, Malcolm won the #6 Onto the Devil's Skillet by Tim Kask for $300.

It was one of the Free RPG Day endeavors that was actually interesting. Same Warhammer 40K universe as Rogue Trader and Dark Heresy.
