tacojon, it's exciting to hear that you might make the trip!

Hey Jaybird!

Yeah, I'm really hoping this comes together.  It would be great to meet/see you.  Might also be an opportunity to talk shop on some projects I hope to have in the works by then.

This is a quick preview of the logo creation process by Jason Braun

Jason is in the process of creating a logo for North Texas RPG Con.

I gave him some ideas of what I'd like, he sketched out some various samples, we reviewed them, he then combined a few pieces from the original sketches and we have a "beta" copy.

Jason will be vectorizing the logo this week, and we hope to have a final logo for the website by next week.

We will then make this available on TShirts, Mugs, etc at the con and/or online for anyone who might want one.

Also, the custom "art" for auction by Jason Braun at the Con will be the 3 pages of original sketches for this logo creation process.

kinda cool

We can have a group vote on which logo I have to get tattooed on my bicep...

Nice work, Jaybird!  :D

The logo is looking good.  I definitely want a T-Shirt even though I won't be able to attend.

Mike, maybe you should consider getting one in the small of your back (tramp stamp) or next to the Texas Acaeum Mafia tattoo on your inner thigh. ;)

Hello Mrs. Cleaver, Theodore.

Gee, Mrs. Cleaver ... That certainly is a lovely dress.

Mike would then have to wear his thong for everyone to see them.
I like the tattooed bicep/arm idea better...........

As for LOGO/CON  T-Shirts...
If they become reality, then I would want at least two of them.
one HUGE for me and one small for my 12 yo grandson.

In that case, Mike, I vote for the world's crappiest freehand d20 (the first "slide" of Doug's avatar).

Nice work, Jason.  The sketch with the d10's kind of looks like texas has a nice pair of tits.

Thanks Martin.

I, for one, know my tits have grown since I moved to Texas. Lone Star, breakfast tacos and BBQ. I guess everything really IS bigger in Texas.

Glad you guys dig the sketches. Doug picked a good one.

The one with the dragon draped around the shield with the colors of the Texas state flag is damn sharp looking. :D

Mike,

You are going to have to shave that inner thigh a bit since hair in the logo just doesn't look right.

Aneoth,

There will actually be a thong available with a logo since I may use the cafepress.com site for selling the items with the logo... so you can get you a thong if you really need one, I know KingOPain wants a thong

No thanks.
King can have it.
King and Mike would both look like swimsuit models compared to me in one of those things....

Thanks King of Pain. That's the hybrid of a few sketches, so it got the most treatment.

I agree with John (KoP).
The colored Shield with wrapped Dragon looks real good to me.

Ok,

I updated my avatar again with additional pics to add to them rotation.

So how you liking the final 3 ?

Jason has done an excellent job, now I just have to pick the final one to use.

thoughts ? ...

I really like the last one since it uses the old AD&D font, though the 1st of the 3 might be a bit easier to read...

Yes, he has.

The three dragon-and-shield logos look about the same to me.

Have you decided where the logo will appear (shirts, badges, etc.)?

Count me in!  I just registerd (I'm # 37) for the Con.  June can't get here soon enough.

Thanks for all involved in organizing the con - it should be a fun weekend.
