I don't get why dice companies don't acknowledge that you need more than one d6 in a 'set' of dice for D&D.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

I bought the 6 pack but it came in shrink so I can't open it.

I picked this up, too.  It looks awesome, but it's in SW so it won't be opened.

I'll look for an open box eventually.

I also picked up and left in shrink wrap…for about 5 minutes. I loved the printed felt box bottoms for rolling the dice and the cards and descriptions on the backs were a great trip down memory lane.

Any guesstimates on how many of these were produced?  The company has been pretty quiet on actuals.  Just saying 'While supplies last...'

Interesting the Beadle & Grimm stuff. The feedback on some of the MTG things they did (I think for the recent Phyrexia sets) was the quality was quite low (I cant remember in what way - I think a special moulded box?). I guess with Dice there's not too many ways to mess it up at this point (unless you're filling them with glitter or whatever).

The B&G dice are the only items I have ever purchased from them. We only play OD&D to 2nd Edition and their items are for the latest editions.

The nostalgia was just too much for me... All those modules I played through as a kid, hooked me like a fish. 8-)

They got the modules out in December. Way to go. Great job.

They should re-fire the former CEO of Wizards. Just send an email saying "We fire you again."

Edit: I was too optimistic. These are just dice sets. I guess the modules arent done or were quietly canceled. Its like they dont like money or something. My engagement with 50th anniversary products has fully evaporated.

Oh, and the dice look like dice. Way to go. Great job.

And the first return on a web search, of Dungeons and Dragons 50th anniversary, is from IGN in March of this year.

Rant off. Sorry.

The Beadle & Grimm's dice sets are pretty cool, though.

Here are some more details on what's in some of the boxes:

I did grab the S3 and S1 dice sets from B&G, happy enough with them, the coin/token was worth the price of admission to me. Look good on the shelf ;)

I know it's not TSR/WOTC stuff, however for a decent price you can grab one of the last copies of the  limited edition of the VI•VIII•X core rules I made for the golden anniversary of RPGs foundation:

DriveThruRPG

An harback for that amout is definitely worth the expense and consider that less than 50 copies have been printed so far. At the end of the year I will withdraw the book.

Ciaooo

PS stay tuned since there will be soon another fine product available for you...

Check out the beautiful 50th anniversary art book the Italian convention Lucca put out to celebrate the 50th, and ask yourself why WOTC couldn't be bothered to make lots of money doing the same. Incompetency doesn't even begin to cover it.

Has WOTC released anything for the 50th anniversary of note?  I'm sure they have, but I can't point to anything that grabbed my attention.  I haven't followed their releases (at all) but it seems anything that's gets any press is third party/licensed stuff.

This is repackaged 5E stuff... I deleted my rant and figured no one wants to hear from a grognard anyways... I hope everyone enjoys the holidays this year.
