Thank you. I'll take a look at it in the Dragon Magazine Archive.

FWIW, "Into the Forgotten Realms" was also run at GenCon 17 in August 1984 as an AD&D tourney.  I haven't seen a tourney version to know if it differs from the version published later in Dragon 95.

It's also reprinted in the original FR box set.  I don't know if there are any differences.

Dragon 95 says this was a tournament module run at GenCon 17.  But it wasn't part of the AD&D tourney or anything official.  It was simply an adventure Ed Greenwood ran at GenCon 17.  I know, cause I was there.  Ed had signed up to DM, and so his game was listed in the registration book.  When I went through the book looking for games to play, I recognized a reference to his campaign world (from the Elminster articles he wrote for the Dragon), and just signed up.  Those were the days.

I also have a copy of the adventure he ran that day (Ed gave copies to each of the players), and it's pretty close to what got published.  But there are some differences, likely due to playtesting.

I'd love to hear more about this sometime Bracton; unless of course you've already told us before?---the story rings bells---in which case you can point us forgetful types to your previous posts :D

One of my first posts here:

BTW, I did bring it to GenCon last year, and got Ed to sign it.  He even drew a portrait of the character I played, freehand, while I watched.   8)

The seller has, in this rather large lot, those cool D&D portfolios that were licensed back in the early 80's

Hi all.

I am a newbie here (think I may have posted this earlier in not quite the right place so apologies for duplication) but I thought I'd let you know that I am selling my gaming stuff on Ebay at the moment.  Included are a copy of the Original White Box OCE, Deities and Demigods (with Cthulhu etc.), Games Workshop Character Sheets (1978) and a load of old White Dwarfs, Imagines, Traveller rule books etc.

http://shop.ebay.co.uk/dostoyevsky01/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=

It's kind of sad to let it all go - as it was such a huge part of my life growing up - but it would be great to send it off to a new home.

Hope you'll find something of interest and thanks for your attention.

Cheers

A
