This is a pretty crazy price for just the booklet and cover. If the inner cover is missing so are some maps, the big map is missing as well (and the counters).

The seller is up front about this too, so it is just ebay weirdness.

L3 BIN at $150 !!

http://cgi.ebay.com/L3-Deep-Dwarven-Del ... T-TSR-9844 -/140405464991?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20b0d15f9f

The same price as T&T !

http://cgi.ebay.com/L3-Deep-Dwarven-Del ... D-D-1E-RPG -TSR-/270561085180?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3efeb28 6fc

This seller has little chance to sale it at such a price, for $150 (and sometimes less) you can get a complete set.

For a Silver Box Set?  $150? Maybe... if it is Shrink Wrapped with no dings.

Otherwise more like $85-$120 (Mint condition at the high end)....

** expired/removed eBay auction **

With a BIN of $184.95, The listing above for a silver box set is too high by far.... an exception to the price they are selling for these days, much like the L3 listed above is...

I could be wrong, but IMO only a complete neophite or someone too rich to care would even contemplate buying a copy of L3 at that price ($150).

And even a filthy rich person would most likely care enough to just buy the complete set anyway.

A $20 BIN for the 3.5 PH isn't silly, it's a good price...but $25 for shipping??? Highway robbery!

Maybe this guy also deserves to be mentioned in the Shady Dealers thread...

I do not understand the starting price of the following items.

S1 Tomb of Horrors mono starting at ... $88.50 !

http://cgi.ebay.com/9022-S1-Tomb-Horror ... 5d2943d1e0

and the best

S2 White Plum Mountain mono starting at ...$99.99 !?!

http://cgi.ebay.com/9027-S2-White-Plume ... 5d294420ea

Someone here has an idea of this mystery ? Items are not in SW and are not in NM condition. Even in NM condition, I presume that no one will bid on them.

This seller is a mystery, has many items, some rare, but do not seem to be a collector, too much errors in descriptions and strange prices. Thanks for your feedback if you bought something to him.

That would be just the latest in a string of odd choices by that seller.

I thought there would be no bid with such a high starting price

S4 in SW is definitively not rare, and it generally goes for less than $35, but $74.99 ! this well known Autralian buyer has no problem to put much money in SW items.

Yep; the seller's brother fluked part of a huge storage sale (missed a stack of other stuff which was gone by the time they went back) and, of course, once you find something worth $$$ (oB3) by extension I guess the rest is also worth $$$, no?

Well Jason, they only printed about 200,000 copies of that issue after all.

So it MUST be rare at least, if not ULTRA Rare...

I actually wrote this seller regarding a mono Village of Hommlet that he had listed for $49 BIN. He described it as Near Mint, but clearly by the picture it was only in Good condition. I told him that the module was worth, at best, $10 and that he should educate himself on grading standards. He immediately (the same day) changed the BIN to $10 and asked me what an orange B3 would be worth. I told him what a real, SW OB3 was worth, and that I suspect the one he has is a reproduction (i.e. fake).

I really don't know what the guy's deal is. Perhaps he bought a collection in a yard or estate sale and is trying to unload it on eBay without first educating himself on values and grading standards...

Answer at the top of the page... Yep; no joke.

Well done on that. :) Pity he hasn't followed through, though...

The SW'd one appeared to be genuine, as far as I could tell, but the damage had already been done.
What was your answer, btw? ^^

Ah, that explains it then. Sorry, I missed your post earlier. So, my guess was mostly correct.

Oh, I was rather vague with my answer about the OB3. "Hundreds of dollars", is what I told him. You never can tell with rares (as you well know). Hope it turns out to be genuine!
