What they didn't mention is that the ban isn't on the account just on that particular console. I know a lot of people who got banned on this recent sweep and at least a couple of them have already bought new xboxes for use with their live accounts and are just using their banned ones for offline play. Whether or not the ban is permanent Microsoft is turning a good profit from this. And it's definitely more than 24 hours... been at least a week and counting for some people.

This is my favorite dram next to the Laphroaig 10-year. It's a little less peaty and iodine/medicinal than the Laphroaig with a little more robust body (leatherey? oily? NICE!)... while still having it's own wonderful subtleties.

With Christmas/Hanukkah coming up it would be a nice gift for a buddy or relative...

You're killin' me here. I had to give up drinking when I gave up smoking (the drink bone is connected to the smoke bone, or at least mine is). 53 days and counting.....

I've never smoked a cigarette in my life... ever. Never even tried it... Or tried any other tobacco product for that matter.

Now, I've smoked "other" things before.. but even that I can still count the times on both hands.

I rekon smoking would greatly diminish the flavor and smell (nosing and tasting) of the malt GREATLY.

Thanks! I appreciate a good single malt (Oban was my brand of choice), and could taste it when I was smoking, though I'm sure it would taste even better now. Unfortunately as soon as I get the first drop of alcohol in me, I start craving a cigarette. Luckily, I've never had trouble putting down the bottle, so my regrets there are few.

Thanks. Oh, I feel a good deal healthier already, and better every day. My lungs are still clearing out, though, even after 50+ days. It's amazing the damage you can do to yourself and not realize it. I'm just glad I caught it before the 20-year mark (would have been in February).

I'm using the, "Honey, let's go upstairs for a while; I need some more motivation," plan, as well as the "See food, eat food" diet (I've gained about 8 pounds). In the past, I unsuccessfully tried the nicotine "replacement" patch (gave me weird dreams and made my heart race) and "Chantix" (left me so depressed I decided to stop taking it and resume smoking).

Every system you try will have side-effects. Be very careful with the "Honey, let's go upstairs for a while; I need some more motivation," plan," as you may become a Daddy or be a Daddy again.

I'm sorry to hear about the chantix experience. I know 4 people who have tried it. All have stopped smoking. Two of them stopped smoking the moment they took the first pill.

Oh, the Chantix worked great at eliminating the urge to smoke. It also unfortunately eliminated my urge to continue living

. And this was when it was a "new drug" and the commercials didn't yet warn that it might increase your "risk of suicide", whatever the hell that means.

Two kids already, and modern BC...

Welbutrin did the same thing to me when I quit 3 years ago. It was great not being freaked out about quitting and snapping at people but not so fun not caring about anything at all. I kept forgetting to eat...I've been making up for that since then though :oops:

so I was happy when the perscription ended and I was finished.
