It was listed with 80 pounds as the starting price and (IIRC) there was a single bidder and that one was not made until nearly the end of the listing.
I saved the listing for a while, but recently deleted it.
I think it was listed on these pages at the time too.
Only reason I was watching it was to see if the value was going up.

Yes, I vaguely remember that listing when it went up, but didn't check back in to see what happened at the end. This one does look nice too... Still it is quite a limited collectible overall (you can hardly pick it up of the shelf to read through with nostalgia

)

The auction description states that there were half a dozen pages in the books with hand-written corrections, so that didn't go low on price IMO.
Box sounds good, though: did anyone take a pic of that and/or other goodies at the auction, as were uploaded for last year's?

Seller has a 1st print Monster Manual up (along with a couple other books in the lot). Priced a little high to start, though

Yep.

Nice copy though.

The other two books are a 3rd print softcover Games Workshop Version of the MM and a 1st Print of the Deities and Demigods w/Cthulhu.

I think the starting price is higher than the total value also, even if (as describe by seller) they are all in awesome condition.

But in any case, the starting price is not rediculous.

At best that is the highest value for those books (IMO).

The BIN is way too high though. ($399 USA)

A shame, as I would bid if it were not so hgh to start with, since that 1st print MM is (by the looks of it) nicer than my best copy....

and my copy of the softcover MM is a bit rugged too...

...oh well...

Like I said it aint rediculous at all, and someone may wish to purchase them at that price.

$229 for a 1st MM, GW MM pbk & Cthulhoid D&DG?
Depends what baseline you're working from.

Curious. The cover art photo seems to be an amalgam of the logos from the 3e adventure and the artwork from the original T1-4. I've never seen that cover design before; the one I have features the artwork still displayed at the WotC site.

Has anyone seen a book with this cover in the wild?
