I am not responding to your entire E-book that writes a lot and says little, particularly pertaining to the inflated Ebay stats you insist on throwing around about your current Ebay account.  A few notes though:

Pipswich wrote:
I am not about to post the name of my wife's book business here for you to review as I am now of the opinion that you will likely simply libel her or attempt to defame her business in the manner you have done to me.

In order from something to be libelous, it first off and foremost has to be untrue. What I wrote quite clearly isn't.
Pipswich wrote:It simply isn't that hard for database businesses to have had 10,000 transactions.

So now you are changing your story.  You have quite clearly on 2 seperate occasions here stated on this Ebay account you had 10,000 transactions.  You lied. Twice.
Pipswich wrote:If you want to drive down to Mobile and peruse approximately 40,000 unprocessed books in storage from the last bookstore we bought, you are welcome to do so.

I am sure that this some how relates to the fact that you quite clearly claimed that you had 10,000 transactions on this account, I just haven't figured out how yet.
Pipswich wrote:I do assume that some here are aware that early on in ebay, and for at least five years, as long as you had more than about 10 transactions, the vast majority of people flat out ignored feedback unless specifically asked.

Actually back in the early days of feedback, feedback was HUGE.  People used to go around and leave both positive AND negative feedback for other users even though they never dealt with them because they thought it was fun and/or funny.  Abuse of the system back then was the reason that Ebay went and changed feedback to make sure that in order to leave feedback for someone, you had to actually have had a transaction with them. On several occasions I was contacted by people whom I never did business with, attempting to do a positive feedback trade. As amatter of fact, my first ever neutral was from some jerk off who wanted to trade feedback with and I told him absolutely not.  So if anything back then, feedback scores were inflated for what they should have been, not the other way around.
Pipswich wrote:And before you accuse me of being solely an ebay buyer again

Interesting.  Where exactly did I do that? This wouldn't be a straw man would it?
Pipswich wrote:I will continue buying, listing and posting on ebay as I see fit.

No one said that you shouldn't.
Pipswich wrote:"I have "managed to leave as much bad feedback for sellers than I have in in my whole Ebay 10 year history(and really most others as well) in 1/20th the transactions:"

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.d ... tForOthers

I have left a total of 5414 total feedbacks in 10 years which is about 600 less than the amount of feedback that I have received, which quite clearly indicates I leave feedback first most of the time and I really don't care much if I get it back.  It's nice to get, but I clearly do not chase it. Beyond that, in those 5,414 feedbacks I have left, I have left 42 negs and 1 neutral for a total of 8 different sellers.

In the last 300 transactions, you have posted feedback for a total of 30 negatives and 10 neutrals for 11 different sellers:

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.d ... tForOthers

So again, in other words roughly the same amount of bad feedback in 1/20th the transactions.
Pipswich wrote:So I presume your account feedback of 2641 represents only approximately 10% or less of your total transactions since you insist I couldn't possibly have what I indicated?

Again, not at all. I have been involved in at the very least 5414 transactions which can be seen by the total feedback I have left for others.  The amount of transactions I have been involved is most certainly to be higher than that as I am sure that I have not left feedback 100% of the time, however the 5,414 number is close enough.
Pipswich wrote:Or are you a liar? A fraud? A malcontent? A busybody? A frustrated collector? Or do you also have another account that you use?

Did I leave negative feedback for you on that one? Did your review of my purchase history reveal a few things that you covet?

ZZZZZZZZZzzzzz.......  I guess anything that will cloud the fact that you lied and got busted, right?
Pipswich wrote:Really, come clean and share what has inspired your diatribe against me and a long series of angry and negative posts about a myriad of topics?

Nothing to share at all.  I just don't take shit from anyone.  I also will not be lied to. If you don't like being called out for being a liar, then don't lie.

Pipswich wrote: Call me a liar, as you will, but that's a red herring.

No, it's quite simply not. A red herring would be me throwing something in here to try and cloud the truth, kind of like you just did about 20 times in your previous two posts and now this one as well. You lied and again got busted.  The End.

Pipswich wrote: Second, If you decide to "massage" the numbers and choose to look at only the last 300 feedbacks as representative of my totals and then compare it to your absolute total instead of my absolute total, you can skew the numbers any way you want.  Why not just wait until I leave a single negative and claim I am an asshole and leave 100% negatives.

Massage the numbers?    I took the numbers over that time frame because that is when you have picked up a majority of feedback on your account from buying.  I am not going to count 8 years of no buying and thus no feedback as that kind of defeats the purpose. You don't get credit for 8+ years were you weren't actually buying anything. Sorry.

Pipswich wrote: And as for you leaving that much feedback over ten years and being so insistent that it must be close to your total, it is clear that we are on polar opposite ends of how to handle life and business.

No dispute there.  I am up front and honest and try to work with people as I understand that mistakes happen and only resort to leaving negatives and poor DSR's when I have no ther choice.  You on the other hand are secretive and vindictive and look for reasons to screw people over who don;t bend to your every whim when you are buying. You seem to take the utmost pleasure in leaving people poor feedback and bad DSRs, almost to the point that you want people to "wrong" you.

Pipswich wrote:The general theme is...
"You all can kiss my ass! "

Wow, that hurts. :D

And speaking of "red herrings":

Pipswich wrote: "I reported this guy 2 or 3 times myself last week and Ebay has done nothing at all. I have basically just given up. Maybe somebody needs to come along and vigilante his a$$ with some negs."

Ahh, yes.  Exactly, what I would do defend a fraudster to try and make yourself seem better. You are doing pretty good here.

Pipswich wrote:or more recently..

"I'd contact my local police department first, they should be able to direct you in what to do. I'd also Neg him right now and if you haven;t yet, file your Payapl claim. "

Do you mean as opposed to calling a "Federal Marshall" as you suggested?  I bit my toungue then, but since you want to bring it up again, let's.  What exactly is a "Federal Marshall" going to do?  They hunt down people on the run from the law.  They don't deal with petty Ebay criminals who haven't even been convicted of a crime yet.

Beyond that, I am failing really hard to see how the advice I gave in that situation was in way shape or form wrong. I will eagerly await your response.

Pipswich wrote: Many of your first hundred emails note that you work at a bank and you spend hours posting about the illegality of people selling pdf's.  (The truth is you are just a self serving guy with situational ethics as when your business was compromised by the pdf's... you took the high road... but when ebay raises your fees you respond..

Ho w am I "self-serving" when I decry people doing illegal things?  Or is this just our way of saying think breaking the law is okay?  And how exactly does my bad feelings about Ebay now and speaking out about it have anything to do with it?  Truthfully and perhaps a lot more searching through old posts you will see, I have never been very fond of Ebay as it was.  I like the venue and I liked being able to sell stuff, but there utter disregard for people stealing and there inability or complete refusal to enforce copyright laws has always been a point of contention of pretty much EVERYONE here. Nothing has changed in that regard.  Not really seeing as to how any of that is "self-serving".  I guess when all else fails, just make some stuff up.

Pipswich wrote: "I am not sure that I could really care any less about "defrauding" Ebay.  Ebay sucks and they do everything they can to milk as much money out their sellers as possible and it has gotten nothing but WORSE since I started  on there going on 10 years ago now. I do not think that people should be able to get away with trying to rip buyers off with outrageous S&H costs, because from a moral standpoint as also a buyer I loathe it, but it has absolutely NOTHING to do with Ebay."

This again? Your failure to understand that whatever people charge for S&H is not fraud.  You can say it a million more times if you want, its won't be anymore true now that it was the first time.

Pipswich wrote: This one is hard for me to believe you wrote...

"Unfortunately, its true we all can't get along, but while we here in this forum we might as well try right."

"Wow, no reply behind my post today, I must have scared everybody away from this topic."
You mean you don't really have to be tough to threaten people by email?
...wading into the fray.....
I am not on anybody's "side" in this, but this argument is getting quite tired. I wish we could all just move on to something more interesting,."

Ahhh, from the Maxwell incident, I remember it fondly.  You are really, really reaching.  I am not surprised.  It would really help your case if you actually KNEW what took place then, but hey I get that you are trying to cloud the fact you got busted for lying. What exactly does this have to do with the fact you lied again?  Weren't you just saying something about "red herrings".

Pipswich wrote:I know that I should probably butt out, but IMO this has gotten way out of control. There seems to be a lot of hard feelings on all sides over what was supposed to have been a given away module."

More from the Maxwell incident. Again, a history lesson and actually knowing what was going on would serve you better, instead its just making you look even worse. Continue though.

Pipswich wrote:"Why does it seem like half of these idiots are from Pennsylvania. It is starting to make me feel defensive."[/quote
Hmmmm, picking out more quotes from the pdf'er thread. Because again it is wrong of me to not like people who breach copyright and exploit other peoples hard work for profit themselves. Is this supposed to be making your case better somehow?

Pipswich wrote:You were probably lucky on that one, as I have seen lots of sellers respond with a big fat NEG, even though your feedback was clearly warranted.
Yes, because me telling someone that they were lucky to not have got a neg from a seller who they left a neutral for is like really, really wrong.     I should have never ever have done such a horrible thing.

Pipswich wrote:"Are you a newb, an impostor or is this a new ID for the original IO?"

Oh, yes another one of the things that I did "wrong".     We already had a guy who posts under the ID of invincibleoverlord and we had a new person join using InvincibleOverlord. My asking them if they were the same person or not was bad, bad, bad.

Pipswich wrote:You clearly have had some major issues with other members here...

No doubt about that.  They all pretty much share the same thing in common with you.  They lied. And in some circumstances, cheated other members here either through dishonesty and in couple circumstances shilling their own auctions.  Of course I am guessing that you think those things are okay to, since you are now looking to join hand in hand with those very same people. Good Luck!

Pipswich wrote:"Brian this is a confirmation that you have some problems not with me only: this is the first and last time i will reply on this topic so it is not relevant your reply and i invite you not to reply anymore on this matter (or you will confirm to everybody that the problem is not me).

The first time you blocked me is due to an out-of-ebay deal where you sold me a Little Soldier booklet different from the picture you sent me before the agreement. Useless to say, the real item was far worse than the one in the picture.

This second time are you pissed by what? Pls dont tell me for the neutral FB for they didnt wasted your rating or credibility..."

And the Aia incident.  Yes, yes. The buyer who left me neutral feedback because I didn't lie on his customs forms and he had to pay a customs tax to get it. I guess lying on customs forms which happens to be against federal law is somehow good in your eyes, right?

I guess it's okay to defraud the government, just not Ebay!!!1111one!!11eleven!!11

Pipswich wrote:Oh... and you claim that I shouldn't have more hassle than you with sellers but you clearly CAREFULLY and based solely on your feelings block bidders..
"My list is slightly longer. Then again, I have slightly less tolerance for idiocy then most, I also have been know to preemptively block people that I see as bad and I have been at this for a while."

Yep, I do. Back when Ebay's feedback system wasn't a complete joke allowed for bad buyers to be pointed out through negative feedback, if I saw a buyer such as yourself who always seemed to have problems with sellers, I blocked them pro actively.  Why would I want to deal with a buyer who was going to unfairly cause me headaches?

Besides that, again, what exactly does this have to do with anything? I mean other than to try and again cloud the issue that you got busted for lying?

Pipswich wrote:This is a beauty.... A thread dedicated to you being a jerk.  Wow!  I am not alone in my opinion of you Brian!

Normal people typically don't feel threatened by "enemies" errrr...forum trolls.

Again though, please continue to troll away, as you quite clearly crave that attention that comes along with it that you so desperately seek. Hopefully though, you will at least get a little better at that, because as of right now you still aren't very good at it all. Yes, yes. Yet ANOTHER great example.  A guy who had been banned from the forum multiple times(something that the admin has done I think a total to a total of 6 or 7 people total tops since the forum creation over 6 years ago) getting upset at me for busting him as well.  I am starting to see a trend here....

Yes, yes, because people breaking the law should not be something that I or anyone else for that matter should get mad about.    Again, I guess the only time its bad in your eyes is when Ebay isn't getting their just due. Are you trying to make yourself look better or worse here?

Let me guess, you own stock in Ebay?

Pipswich wrote:I found two entire threads with very unhappy Acaeum members, one of whom provided uncontested quotes regarding his overcharging an acaeum member and international shippers by overstating customs value.

Are you making this shit up or what?  Yes, the one member who got upset because I filled out the customs form that said $60 instead of the real value of $56 and change.  The funny part is that he wanted me to undervalue the items so he could avoid the customs tax which is a violation of the law.  Yes, that sure was a killer.

And where exactly is this other instance that you speak of?

This should be good.  :D

You must have missed the two Silliest auction price of the year threads.  There are literally hundereds of posts by almost all of the members here laughing at people who far overpaid what an item was worth.

Oh wait never mind, YOU posted in it too.

And yes, when I see a seller is being dishonest, I have no problems calling them out. Again, explain to me how this is to be considered a BAD thing?  I'll wait....again.

More bluster and little to no content.  What exactly does posting all this crap have to do with the fact that you lied and got busted for it?  It doesn't.  You can type another 15 pages worth of material and it isn't going to change that fact. Sorry.

Also, it's not anyone's fault but your own in your really weak attempt to try and prove a point by pulling up old posts and not having the slighest clue about them or their context.   If you actually knew what you were talking about, you might have had a point in then. Instead, you didn't and made yourself look even worse.

As to your buying and slling habits go, amazingly, you have sold quite bit in the past.  This past year however, you have almost no selling and almost all primarily buying, which is a complete 180 degree turn around from before the changes.  Kind of strange that you think Ebay's new rules are so great that you aren't hardly selling anymore and just buying.  I mean why has your selling gone down and buying gone up wehn the rules quite clearly are heavily in favor of the buyer if the new rules are so great and not one sided?  Hmmm....

Lastly, is there a reason you keep calling me by name?  Do you know me at all to be calling me by it?   Is this someone of trying to personalize it, to make me stop or intimidate me because you know my first name? Whatever it is, it's not working.

You did get a PM though, that I am sure OF and I also know who sent it to you.  It's someone who I have done a round or two before.

If you did in fact get a second one, I am fairly certain I know who that is as well and if so, that member being in "good standing" is hilarious. I guess it would beg the question, "On which account?"

When you say "well-intentioned" does that mean liars, cheaters, shillers, copyright infringers and those who steal? If that is what you mean then yes, guilty as charged.  Otherwise, not so much.  Again, if you had actually known anything of the history of this place you wouldn't have said stupid shit and coming out looking like a moron.  But since you quite obviously don't, you did. Then again, I am still waiting for you back up the 15 or so accusations that you made with even a shred of proof in your attempts to cloud the issue that you got busted for lying, so I won't be holding my breath waiting for it.

You did and its plainf for everyone to see. If you didn't, you wouldn't have gone so far out of your way to everything except cloud the issue.

Pipswich wrote:You can call me a liar'
If you continue to lie, count on it.

Pipswich wrote:The people who got negative feedbacks, know why.  And you.....

Well, except for those that you secretly screwed thier DSRs all while laughing heartily while doing so privately, right?

If I had a Bclarkie flag, I'd wave it all around these forums. Pip, you're really barking up the wrong tree on this one. Bclarkie has busted more trolls, thieves, shillers and general deadbeats than anyone I sure remember. And the only ones who get all defensive are the trolls, thieves, deadbeats, shillers and general deadbeats. Which are you?

If everything he is saying isn't true, then, why do you care? He could jump up and down claiming I did all sorts of things, however, seeing as how those things would be false, why would I care? You've been on this forum for a total of two and a half months. Why are you going round and round with a guy that's been here for years and has more reputation on his side than you or I will probably ever have?

I guess I'm asking what the POINT here is? You rock, he sucks. He rocks, you suck. It's all a matter of opinion. Personally, Bclarkie, I'm driving the 4 hours to Pittsburgh to watch you bust these guys for a few weeks, and then I can start doing it too. :)

Zenfinite

P.S. No, I am not an alt identity of Bclarkie. No, we don't hang out and no, we're not BFF. I do think I met him at GenCon in 99 or so, but I met a buncha cool guys that year at the auction, so, maybe we never met. No big.

If you say so.

Pipswich wrote:I clarified the account issue a couple of posts back and a reasonable person would accept that from my perspective... all the accounts are one person, some business, some personal, some active and some inactive.  Frankly, it makes accounting much easier to do it that way.  So sorry that I confused you, but it doesn't appear hard to do.

I was not confused at all. Trying to spin it anyway you want, its still not the truth.

Pipswich wrote:And your guesses appear way off base regarding who sent pm's.

Really, then who did I guess?

Pipswich wrote:I am absolutely sure you sit there and follow who is logging in and out, because you are clearly perverse, paranoid and nosey enough to try to figure out who doesn't like you any way possible.

It really sucks getting busted, doesn't it?

Pipswich wrote:So I told you an actual lie.... my first on the site.  I may reserve a few more for you if they get this entertaining, but I jealously guard the few I tell and use them generally protect others.  The lie was simply that I said the pm's were in the last ten minutes.

You should go into fiction wiriting, you are freaking great at this.

Pipswich wrote:Sorry, if I accidentally implicated someone innocent by leading this bozo astray, I was trying to protect the anonymity of those who were sending my pm's.

I knew before you said anything that you were getting a PM, I watched it happen. Like, if you know what to do, you can tell. Another thing you obviously didn't know about.

Pipswich wrote:And.. as predicted, Brian jumped right to accusations and conspiracy theories about who was doing him wrong behind the scenes.

Except, I didn't accuse anyone, did I?

Pipswich wrote:That's the beauty of being honest with honest people (and even the dishonest one's except only very rarely).  You can very carefully chose when someone is so far beneath contempt that they no longer deserve the guaranteed privilege of truth... and they will fall into a silly trap every time.

It's a nice sentiment. It might actually hold so weight if you had actually told the truth.  I will say, that in my time on the internet, I have seen some real blowhards before, but you may very well take the cake.  Again, simply admitting to the fact that you were infalting your Ebay experince and moving on would have been enough.  Instead we got your last 6 or 7 posts.  So much for that.

Pipswich wrote:Come up with some new business to address.  You keep bringing up old news.

Old News? I made my post less than 18 hours ago.  I guess this is your attmept at sweeping it under the rug.

Pipswich wrote:In one post, written quickly, I defined the 10,000+ transactions as from one account...  and I believe I have sufficiently clarified that misstatement.

Yes, by going off on 6 paragraph tangents about back in the mid 90's at trade shows, how you just bought a book store and had 40,000 books to sort through and trying to dig up past posts not knowing the context of them to try and make yourself out to be the victim all while alligning yourself with some of the scummiest people who have ever post here. Excellent job.

Pipswich wrote:So what's your problem with me now, other than the fact that I played you dead cold into assumptions about who was pming me and aired your five years of filthy dirty laundry?

You played me into cold dead assumptions and aired my filthy dirty laundry?  Again, you really shoud get into fiction writing or maybe comedy.  This is freaking hysterical.

That's said, this argument has grown pretty tiresome and has effective wrecked a really good thread, so unless you have something actually new or enlighting to add, I am pretty sure that I am done for now.

I have never been to GenCon before actually, so it must have been someone else.  :)
