Congrats!

I recommend the LeMaze delivery method. The wife doesn't take any drugs, but you can take all you want! :wink:

By the way, I recommend being in the delivery room and sharing the experience. I even was allowed to cut the umbilical cord. However, the five things not to say during delivery are:

Is that normal?

I'm not sure I'm ready for this.

I'm going to follow that and add that I'll be looking at my wife's face the whole time. I don't do well with blood, etc. so won't be looking down at the other end.

I didnt go that end on either of mine... 2nd was a C-Section though, not something I wanted to see

I did the Lamaze method with my first child. All 31 hours of labor. Had three more with the epidural, where you look at the screen graphing your labor and say "Am I having a contraction?" Definitely recommend the latter. And congratulations!

After watching my son born by C section...I knew to stay on the other side of the screen during my daughter's C section birth. That sheet is up for a reason. Just say "no."

Congrats Plaag. I was a squad leader in the army. As I was getting ready to get out of the army they gave me a squad with a pregnant female in it. Yep, you guessed it. Her husband was away on training not able to be there for her so I stood in his place. It was a C-section and is was horrific. That day is right up there with the day I had to go thru chemical warfare training where they make you suck in CS gas.

But I'm sure your experience will be much better :wink:

not that most here will probably be much interested in this, but frankly, this was a 3 part series well worth the watch if you have 3 hours to spare
