Counting the Lost Caverns of Tsojconth; he listed no less than seven of the rarist of the rares and also G1.

Aneoth, I'm not sure I understand, but it's late and I have had a few beers. Did I do something wrong?

I have posted in the "Classified" forum here, Dragonsfoot, ENWorld and RPG.net for every auction I've ever had. I've only been selling on Ebay for a short time (even though I've been buying there since '01). I don't know if I put in enough keywords or not. I don't recall having that option, I just use the "simple" option, upload some scans and write my description.

Since this was the first REALLY big item, I used the Acaeum description and thought that I gave proper credit. If that is not the case, please let me know how to avoid any such errors in the future.

I've also had a few private sales here on the Acaeum with Blackmoor and Grodog (Blackmoor for the tournament Inverness a few months ago). And, I imagine, they would vouch for my integrity (I would hope so, anyway).

Once again, maybe I'm just a bit fuzzy-headed and misunderstood your post, but if I've done something wrong or improper, I apologize.

Addenda: I haven't heard back from the buyer yet and have probably been spoiled by dealing with people like Alan and Jeff who pay within minutes, but does anyone know "lofenloc"? I've already Googled the name and he seems to be legit, but I thought I would ask anyway.

lofenloc is good for it, he is one of the biggest buyers currently for vintage D&D related stuff

yeah lance is a good chappy - dont worry there, he will come out of his sleep before long

oh and with regards to anny, i think he is referring to the mentions of multiple other items there, which don't really necessarily bear relevance to your auction as such, but will give you more-than-maximum coverage to all who would prb have these items listed on their searches.

so kind of key-word-spamming.

Spades - Lofenloc is a very honest and reliable buyer.

Aneoth - It seems like really go marketing on the part of Spades. Designing your description to take advantage of eBay's incredibly faulty and fucked up search engine, and then posting classified ads in Acaeum is the only way to ensure your auction is a success. Like it or not, success for the seller is a good price and a good quality buyer, and it seems as though Spades gets exactly that buy marketing his product the way he does. I do exactly the same, as do most of the sellers here when they release rares into the wild.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Which is why I waited until the listing was over before making my comment.
I didn't think you needed to include all those links and rare item data for items that were not a part of your auction.
The link to the Tsojconth was as a very good thing to provide and very useful to anyone who was not fully aware of its true value, but as I said above; IMO 7 links (and the corresponding stories) to items not included in that listing was overkill.
After all, it is a Tsojconth.

I think that barring the occasional filthy rich person who thinks he/she sees something that he/she simply has to get right now, Anyone with enough scratch to bid at the end would know exactly what it is.

However, excessive use of Keywords in an E-Bay auction has (in the past) Sparked an insane amount of harassment and ridicule from some members of this forum and they rode those sellers mercilessly for doing basically the same thing that you did in that listing.
I can't speak for those members, but it could be they simply didn't like those sellers.
BTW: I have never done that myself in the past and was not trying to do so this time either, otherwise I would have posted BEFORE the listing ended.

The seller also placed an ad in the Acaeum Classifieds, but some folks here may not look at the classified ads.

I noticed this auction but just lusted after the $ such an item would bring.

Keyword spamming though, ughhh.... I search the wargames list on ebay more than the rpgs and the keyword spamming is incredibly irritationg. Some sellers tag their games as SPI/TSR/AH/GMT/VG/ASL/MMP etc... every single fragging game they list, and it kills the search aspect.

I think it is I who should Apologize to you for seeming to complain about your listing. :oops:

As I said in my later post. I had no problems with you or your auction and was mearily pointing out the liberal use of keywords in the listing.

Yeah, I wasn't complaining about your listing either. Any keywords that are related to your listing are more than just approproiate to use, they are a way for people looking to find your listing, and listing are easy to get swallowed on ebaby.

All I'm seeing on these pages are the titles not the line with the web page address and when I copy them all I get is the title even if it is hyperlinked.
