I just traded some emails with Tavis Allison congratulating him on the Dwimmermount resolution (or partial resolution).  He is coming to NTRPG con this year, and we hope we will run some Adventurer Conqueror King events!

I just got cleared to attend NTRPG Con this year!  :D I've been trying for a few years but would always get usurped by weddings and end of school year events.

Anyone looking to split a room?

Planning on Wednesday evening. Haven't booked a flight yet, but looking at maybe flying out of Midway; my wife is heading to Chicago for a conference and I could get dropped off Wednesday and picked up on Sunday. Flying out of Detroit is an option though.

Per something Doug and I talked about last week, this is Doug's post at NTRPGcon site:

We do have a Kid's game of D&D scheduled Saturday Morning.

And this is an update to Mike's post.

You will need to register your kids on the site. Then let me know the name you registered them under and that they are between 5~12. I will get them added to a Kid Group. (you decide how to register them, what email to use and all that stuff... obviously I don't want personal child info as part of the registration process, so you put what you want in those pesky fields)

You must be a member of this Kids Group before you can register for the:

Kids: Age 5~12 : North Texas RPG Con - 2013 - Saturday ONLY

This registration is $7.00

Then you can go register in the Kids D&D game on Saturday.

The registration for the Kids D&D game is already OPEN for registration, and will remain open 2 weeks after all other game registration.

Should the game fill up, I will increase the number of players since we will run an additional game if needed.

I will be flying out of Metro. Wanted to go out of Flint, but for some reason the price is higher and I still have to fly in to Metro. That part is normal, but is usually cheaper to fly out of Flint. Still deciding if I should head out Wednesday night or Thursday morning. Leaning toward Wednesday if I can arrange it all.

It appears there are going to be a lot of "off the grid" games going on Wed night....Jim Ward's poker game, Steve Winters "Knights of Camelot" board game, Tim Kask's "Ticket to Ride", etc.  Should be the start of a ongoing tradition of games on Wed night.

I don't really need to lose any money to Jim Ward....I'm broke as it is.  :)   Knights of Camelot sounds fun.  Ticket to Ride....I know its fairly popular but I dont know if I would enjoy it.  Still would like to get Bill Barsh and a couple of others for a game of Escape From New York.  I'll bring it and we'll see.

I don't even know the rules for Poker.  Ticket to Ride sound like it would be fun though  :)   (it really is a good game)

Jeff, I'm going to have to ask you to turn in your Man Card for that remark....  You'll be in the state where Texas Hold 'em was invented!

Seconded, although I've not had the chance to play Ticket To Ride: Europe, which was Gary's preferred version of the game, apparently.

Hey,

If you haven't heard the big news, my one man show of a game project is sponsoring the charity game and two nights of a certified* attractive and friendly serving wench/cocktail waitress at NTRPG Con.

Additionally, I will be passing out a custom 28mm figurine that a certain miniature guy who frequents this board facilitated the sculpting, production, and logistics.

As this is really the only forum I frequent I wanted to offer those of you who cannot make the North Texas Con an offer for some free swag. If you are going you will get enough of my various types of Gnome swag to last you a good while :)

Everyone should attend the Texas Convention because it is that awesome.

So....

If you are the type of guy/gal who supports Kickstarter projects- PM me with your address and I will send you one.

If you have ever remotely considered supporting Kickstarter project but hesitate wondering if the creator can deliver PM me your address and I will send you one. That way you can judge the projects potential with an example of the product in hand.

I only have about 10 or so it is a first come, first serve thing. If I run out I will keep a list and get you one when more arrive.

Zach

BTW it was noted elsewhere but not here, Sandy Petersen has been confirmed again for a guest in 2013.  He will be running sessions of his new (soon to be KS) game Cthulhu Wars.

If you haven't checked the boards in awhile, we have new offerings form Tacojon Hershberger (Caverns of Thracia, one of my all time favs, and a Barsoom adventure) and Chris Cain (Flashing Blades), as well as a few others.

Registration is 12:01 AM Monday morning the 15th, so stay up late with us on Sunday night (work? school? real life? bahhh!) on the chat and talk about what you did and didn't register for!
