OK, I suppose a copy of issue #1 of KODT is somewhat rare. But this seems pretty goofy to me.

Especially since, about a week ago, an issue #1 -- and another 148 volumes -- went for less.

Now I really wish I had bid on the latter lot.  What a deal!   :P

not really. The issue #1 is the only issue of any value in that lot.

I haven't tracked them but issue #1 of KODT is a very rare item.

Issues #2-#5 can fetch up to $30-$40 each if they are in nice shape. I've seen a NM #2 sell for $50 before.

Other than that, yeh, not much value.

The print run is pretty ridiculously low, and the item has some cross-genre appeal.

I haven't been paying close attention either (though I am missing issue #1), so maybe the current price of $161 is reasonable.  But that other set went for $134.50.  If each of the other 148 items were worth 50 cents each, that's still $74, leaving about $60 for the issue #1 if you bought that set.  Which, as I said, I now think I wish I had.

The others aren't worth .50c each though. This lot was missing #2-#12 so no key issues at all other than #1. Usually later KODTs aren't worth the price of packaging, fees, shipping and gas money.

If someone wants to sell me a run from #58 up, I'd be happy to cover those minor costs...   :D

(That's when the HM4 articles start)

Alright.  So you take the other KODTs, shred them (I really hope Jolly isn't reading this), and save $5 by using the shreds for packing.  Even with shipping, you still come out $20 ahead buying the set.  And you can even read them before you shred them!

Depending on condition it looks like someone got a bargain for the $130 something lot. But from a collecting standpoint (especially dealing with comics) the difference isn't huge. Wonder what the shipping was for those extra 147 comics?

DD 3.5 French PHB

DD 3.5 MM

And the DMG is gone for $50.

It is very odd, as Pathfinder is already avaible in french...!

1) Zero feedback seller.

2) Very low feedback bidders.

I'm thinking either uninformed (stupid) bidders or the seller is shilling his own auction.

Yes, that is very strange... First, I really thought that is was a shill.

Now 3.5 PHB pop up in ebay.fr with a reserve price  :)

Crazy...

What justifies listing this at $98.99??

My version is a quarter that! Is there something I don't know about this book?

The price is now up to $134.24.

That's a pretty precise calculation, don't you think?

I mean...why not $135?  Why not $134.99?  Why is it $134.24, exactly?

The seller is a "discount bookstore".  And it is listed in Books, Non-Fiction.  That should tell you right away that the seller has no clue about what they are trying to sell.
