Oh man that brings up various times with that bloody confirmation of delivery yet have nothing at the door.  Course the majority of that involved UPS.  Basically the postal company puts a tracker, which in this case will do no good. But the deliverer may recall the wrong house (which I'm guess is the result rather then theft) Or that house's occupants will return it or even hand deliver it.  Best let Amazon deal with this as a seller you got nothing to know the final outcome unless the buyer acknowledges an Amazon refund or the item shows up.

I have opened a case with Amazon.  Anyone want to guess what will happen?  Will I lose and pay from my pocket, will I lose and Amazon pays, or will he lose and leave me bad feedback?  Those are the three possibilities that I see.  Any other other possibilities?

I suspect you are screwed. One reason I don't sell on Amazon, after reading the terms of service, I couldn't believe that sellers have even less rights or resources against fraud than Ebay.  It looked like every single sale was going to be a crap shoot.

Seems it was only a matter of time, having been under review at work for 18months almost, but we've now entered the dreaded 3 month consultation period. :( Normally means cheerio, but fingers crossed and all that, as we have a few good guys on our side.

So fair warning to you sellers, I shall not be bidding for a while...

My guess is that his job is on the line and he may be cut or laid-off.  My guess is the consultation has something to do with the executives of the company discussing who gets to stay, who goes and may include changing job descriptions.  It's just a guess.   8)

cheers red_bus...

the review is a complete assessment of the department, try new ideas that sort of thing to see if they want to keep us employed. The consultation period is essentially a goodbye, but can be impacted if we can give suitable suggestions to show our worth. The company considers them, then decides. Typically, this period is a Q&A on whats happening, costs, savings, is it better to keep us or make us redundant...

Fingers crossed and good luck for that or any other opportunities going.

Delivery confirmation is kinda sucky. We don't have any direct equivalent to that over here which led the Post Office staff to assure me both before and after that their Airsure service was the most cost-effective option for getting valuable mail to the US quickly. However, that enters USPS's system as "Delivery Confirmation" only and is thus not eligible for any compensation should it go "missing" due to someone else signing for the package. To add insult to injury, it took something like 15-20 days the last time I used it, IIRC.

A question to anyone who might know....

How healthy is rpg in France?

I have just got back from a short cycling holiday around Brittany and although I didn t see any game shops I did come across a suprise in a smallish supermarket called Intermarche.  Whilst looking for a paper, the French version of White Dwarf caught my eye.  I looked next to it and saw 3 other role playing game magazines including one I bought... Casus Belli.  It seemed very professionally put together and covered CoC, D&D 3.5 etc. articles and scenarios.  My French is not great, so it will take a while for me to translate!

Anyway, the reason for my question is that I have not seen more than a White Dwarf and occasional Dragon in UK supermarkets in the last 20 years.  I only ask as there were multiple copies of each magazine and it seemed as if they were thriving?
