The Giants have certainly faded.  

Since his plantar foot, Eli hasn't looked like the same QB, I think it's not a coincidence their slide coincides with his foot injury.  For Brady, the last two games I've watched with him he's looked above ordinary, but not the godlike being he was before the injury.  In both these cases I think the QBs not being 100% will impact their game. In contrast, Drew Brees and Peyton have looked like world beaters, I will not be surprised to see a Indy/Saints SB.

I know I shouldn't be discounting the Vikings but I'm still waiting to see Favre in December, when he's played more games on turf than any season in his career.  If he is still lighting it up them then he's for real this year.

So I wonder how much Belichick was paid to "throw" the game?  In my mind that is the only reason he would have made the call to go for it on 4th down on his own 28 yard line.  I can't imagine there being another coach in the entire country that would have done what he did.  

Not that I care all that much....I was rooting for the Colts.

That is just plain sad.

Cribbs needs to get the Sharks 20 points tonight for the win and I doubt it happens this week.
BALT wont score enough times for Cribbs to return enough Kickoffs which is where he gets a lot of his yardage.
And despite the head coach saying otherwise, Cribbs is still not involved enough on offense.

While I am not ready to concede defeat, I think the Sharks will be assimilated.
It is very likely that you have this one in the bag.

Let me first say I can't stand Belicheat....if he got hit by a bus tomorrow, I'd throw a party. But it can't be denied the man is a genius. However I've long said that he's so intelligent he gets bored by the game on certain occasions...like two years ago, when he was going for it on 4th down ahead by 30 pts just so he could score 50, saying it was because "It's just the way you play football" or such nonsense.  It's like he's always secretly laughing at us behind our backs because we can't keep up with his golden football brain.  In a lot of cases he's correct, but every once in awhile I think he has to jazz the game up to keep his interest (Like, "Hmmm, I wonder, if I was still throwing the ball in the 4th quarter up by four TDs could I score 60 pts on the Browns?" type of thing).  I think he thought going for it in that situation would pop him out of his malaise he had probably been in since halftime.  There's no doubt he's as mad as a hatter but he's the coach you usually want when the chips are down.  I'm just wondering if the Colts gave him a game ball afterwards....

As nuts as he is I'd take Bellicheat over most of the other coaches out there, who don't deserve to be coaching Pop Warner.

Speaking of Cubes.....

In the Acaeum Collectors League the Dire Gelatinous Cube pounded the Sharks into pulp.
The loss by the Sharks provided the Block Wipes with an opening to take sole possesion of First place.

...because of the aforementioned Chris Johnson (who I/Block Wipes own in that league).  I know he has to become mortal at some point, but I'm going to ride him as long as I can. He's singlehandedly saving my ass week after week, but I don't know how long he can keep it up!

As the proud owner of the Gelatinous Cubes, I was glad to post my first win of the season. My record is now a respectable 1-9.

Of course, I only won by a point - 122-121. And I was lucky Rice was pulled from the game in the final few minutes as the Ravens had the game in the bag. One more yard only and that win would have been erased.

Gnat is right - trades can help teams. I offloaded that no-hoper Brees and picked up CJ, and I'll ride him all the way to the playoffs... (well, perhaps not. But I'll ride him all the way to 2nd-last place at least).
