Wish we'd've had some brochures to give out. Somebody gave me some GaryCon2 promos and we distributed all of them, to a maxed crowd, within 20 minutes.

Ball...dropped...boing! Ah well we want to keep the attendence somewhat exclusive, old schoolers know where to find us by now, and the buzz for next year is already heating up. We might be able to supply you with some goodies for Garycon, Frank, I'll get with Doug to see what we can dig up. Next thing you know a bunch of punk kid 4E players will be showing up, or freaks wearing Peter Pan costumes......

So, how did the Jaquays Dice Bag do then?
And other items that may have sold from NTRPGCON?

Such as the copy of a certain NTRPGCON Game?
Wasn't that to be sold at the Acaeum dinner?

John,

The Temple of the Weaver Queen #3 of 5 was sold at the Acaeum Dinner. It was won by Britt Martin (Prufrock) [for those at the Dinner, who thought I won it .. well Britt got a bit carried away as my max bid was exceeded]

#4 of 5 was sold at the GenCon auction, no clue how much and no clue who won it yet.

Two dice bags with the NTRPGCon logo with a dragon sketch in pen by Paul Jaquays were donated by NTRPGCon for Tim Kask to auction off, one for the charity auction at GenCon, the other for Tim's charity.

One bag was won by "Bracton" for $104.50, I won the other, but no clue what I paid for it (my max bid would have been $100.00)... Tim is mailing it to me, I just need to ask what I paid for it

That should have been all the NTRPGCon items at GenCon.

BadMike should be putting up other item on eBay sometime in the next couple of weeks as he wanted to wait on selling off the donated items until after GenCon.

Ok

Looks like the #4 of 5 NTRPGCon Tim Kask module Temple of the Weaver Queen went to Bracton for $260.00 (I just spoke to Tim and this is what he thinks... so if Bracton can confirm)

The 2nd NTRPGCon dice bag with the original pen art by Paul Jaquays sold at the GenCon charity auction - $50.00 is what I paid for it. Seems the auction for Tim's charity got some better bids... though Tim said there were quite a few dice bags to auction at the GenCon charity auction, so that probably kept the prices lower.

There are always a ton of dice bags at the Charity auction so that's no surprise.

I wish I did win the Temple of the Weaver Queen, but I did not. Not sure who did.

As in prior years, there were a lot of original art dice bags in the general charity auction. Some really fantastic pieces. So that probably did affect the price obtained by the Jaquays bag.

Troll Lord Games (Castles & Crusades) has announced they will be appearing at NTRPG Con 2010!

Looks like some sessions of C&C will be making their first appearance....

I would have been at the inaugural event 'cept for my son's college graduation being the same day. I'm pretty sure I'll make the 2010, ready to run a full 14 hrs of Inferno.

Maybe by then the updated 1E compatible Inferno module will be available for sale (the artists are lined up and starting work now). It should be available in PDF by then, don't know yet if it's going to be put out as a printed product.

Will it be 1E compatible, or are you thinking about one of the Retro-clones/Simulacrums like S&W, OSRIC, etc?

Doug just got the thumbs up for two guests at next year's NTRPG Con 2010....Rob Kuntz and Steve Winter!

As you might know Rob was a guest last year and ran some lucky folk through El Raja Key (along with Blackmoor and Castle Greyhawk one of the "Big Three" of old school megadungeons). We were pretty sure we'd get Rob to show up again but he finally confirmed this weekend.

Steve Winter is well known to anyone playing D&D from 1980 to 1999 or so, as he worked in many different capacities at TSR during that time. His list of design credits is pretty mindboggling.....and working at TSR that long, he's a font of knowledge concerning the company and products during that period. And yes he still games, and we might get him to run a game (he states in the Grognardia interview he still plays in an OD&D game on occasion). Below is a recent interview Dave M. did with him on Grognardia, and a link to his blog where he has posted a lot of old school photos and remembrances.
