It only went cheap, depending on the number of goldenrod sheets that were sold.

The last large lot of goldenrod sheets that Faro stole PDT_Armataz_01_13

(or at least I thought it was him who won the lot... correct me if I'm wrong...) the average was about $30 per page.

So $344 for a 6th print box (i.e. OCE) [$125.00], 4 AD&D books that were not 1st printings [$40.00], and some goldenrod sheets. So there had to be at least 6 sheets for this price to be reasonable.

Too bad no one asked how many sheets were in the lot...

Jonathan mentioned what else he had back in 2008 and at the start of 2010: nothing to do with The Collectors Trove auctions in this case, since those were purchased BITD (there's at least one further unlisted printing, so I guess that should really count as "3rd", at least).

The OCE looked way better than those that have gone to ~$150 so, yep, that was a bit of a bargain: would probably have done much better sold separately without the dead weight of the hardbacks.

I like bidding in round numbers. However, the bidder that I am currently outbidding had a max bid of $426.98. Does that indicate that the bidder's currency is a different currency from the seller's currency (in this case, the US dollar)? Or it just an odd bid amount?

Just an odd amount. And it wasn't me for a change. :lol:

Personally I wouldn't fuss too much over apparent discoloration of the cover label for this set as the "rarity" is in having a set of 3rd print books that don't have spine splitting; if that is as asserted.

Raised the price a few bucks for this item and reposted. I will say I always go back to this seller though for Privateer Press stuff, so when I seen some of those 3.5 ones for cheap I grabbed them.

What was the orig price that was posted? I asked about combined shipping on two modules and he quoted me an additional $3.25 --- for media mail -- for a total of approx $8.95. Pretty lame with that nickle and diming stuff.

I'm curious what his packaging looks like.
