I like to think I would have been wise enough to know that my potential romance with Raquel Welch...and getting movie roles at all...was based on my football career.
A romance with an actress would have been over as soon as I was no longer a football star. (Memo to Mark Gastineau as well.) Ergo...to training camp I go.
It was the same sort of decision that another big-time running back made...choosing marijuana over his NFL career.
