I would think it will go significantly higher than this price. Don't be shocked if it hits triple digits. The only problem I can see is that Gen Con is here and this can be a good buyers market for the next week or two.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

At that price, Abysthor is worth it.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Actually, these look like they are the 1979 version:

1979:  Character Record Sheets.  Tom Wham artwork on cover.  Wizard logo.  Copyright still reads "1977", but "TM Reg App For" has been removed.  Versions with blue, yellow, grey, or green covers and pink, orange, grey, or green sheets have been reported (other than colors, they appear identical).  One copy has been spotted that is a side-tearing pad, but the vast majority appear to be top-tearing.ml

The pictures look identical, not sure why the seller says 45 sheets though

You're right...the wizard logo definitely makes it the '79 version

Is it?  It's the original cover, but is it a first printing?

Who knows.
The seller seems not to like answering questions.
Anyone else have better luck?

Hard to tell from the seller's pic, but the 1st print has a distinctly narrower spine channel than subsequent prints.  In this one, the channel doesn't appear to overlap the TSR product number, which would indicate a 1st print.

Compare to this:  http://www.acaeum.com/ddindexes/setpage ... hb2nd.html where the channel runs over into the "20", characteristic of prints subsequent to the 1st.

About four and half hours to go on the lot, but I saw this in the Q&A section that I thought was funny when someone tried to get him to stop the auction...

Q:          Hello, would you willing to accept $50+ shipping for this lot? please let me know, thanks.         Aug-09-09
A:          Yeah,,,,,,,,no.
Q:          Hi, Are all these complete and unmarked? Sepcifically Does Night's Dark Terror include the following: 56-page book, cardstock folder/map, fold-out map, heavy cardstock counter sheet Also - is Bestiary of Dragons and Giants complete with spell-generator?         Aug-09-09
A:          Night's dark Terror is complete with everything you mentioned, but does have some marks inside from being played. These have all been used but well taken care of. The beastiary does have the spell generator, which is unused and intact.

A couple days ago I Emailed the seller with a question.

Here is the response (an hour after the listing ended).
White.

My Queston.
What Color are the endpapers and flyleafs?

We shall see.

Seller ended the listing early.

And after three E-Mails over the past several days the seller finally deleted my bids.

Yes, I missed the Logo....

And thanks again to ScketreWhisp for pointing that out above.

Bidder a***e  Cancelled: US $69.50

Explanation: The seller ended the listing early and cancelled all bids. Bid: Aug-06-09 15:06:03 PDT

Cancelled: Aug-10-09 07:49:36 PDT

aneoth (624)  Cancelled: US $82.00

Explanation: Abusive emails, told me item was fraud, then threatened me. Bid: Aug-07-09 05:25:36 PDT

Cancelled: Aug-10-09 07:21:44 PDT

Here are my actual E-Mails.

Of which NONE were answered....

Three days ago (Aug 7)

Dear torchcaller321,

After doing some research I have discovered that this item is NOT a 1977 set of PC sheets. It is instead a copy of the far more common 1979 PC sheets. The Wizard Logo gave it away. Even though the copyright page reads 1977 for the print year; that was a non corrected error for this set of PC Sheets. Please reject/delete all of my bids on this item. Thanks.- aneoth

Don't see any threats or abuse here.

Two days ago (Aug 8) at 9 AM

Dear torchcaller321,

I asked you once before and shall ask one more time. Please delete my bids for this listing. This set is Not a Rare 1977 set, it is instead a quite common 1979 set. This will be my last attempt at this. A.

- aneoth

Don't see any threats or abuse here either.

Today: at 8 AM

Dear torchcaller321,

This is the third and last attempt I will make to contact you about this situation.

Please delete all of my bids for this listing. Your description for the item is incorrect as it the listings title. The item pictured is NOT a 1977 printing of the PC Sheet Pad. It is a 1979 Printing which is far more common. I will report this situation as Fraud to E-Bay if you do not withdraw all of my bids.

- aneoth

It was not a threat, it was a promise....

And further, my statements were all true.

Seller was continuing to list the item fraudulently.

Sellers explanation of deleting my bids was basically all lies.

I asked nicely TWICE, and after Neither of those requests were granted, or even answered, I then decided nice was not going to get my bids removed.

And last, if this seller is a member here...

Then shame..... with only a momnets research (As Doug did), especially after it was pointed out to you,  you could have saved some embarrassment.

Aneoth...

I got this email from the seller out of the blue (I presume since I sent her a notice that the item was actually the 1979 copy as well on the same date I posted it here). She mentioned an "abusive" ebayer... shame on you ;)

-----------------------
I canceled the auction and sold the item to a gentleman from Wisconsin that came to my home over the weekend. I had 81 questions on the auction, and as I am a flight attendant, and travel often, I am not available to answer them all. A few from one particular ebayer were even abusive telling me I was committing fraud. It was very hurtful as this item was from my late father who never hurt anyone. I am sorry for any confusion and for canceling your bid (if you did bid). Selling on Ebay is a pain in the neck. Regards, Beth

I doubt she is a member and was only looking to sell off some of her dad's old gaming stuff. I would presume that whoever came to her house, might have bought it all, but who knows. I did suggest that if she has additional RPG stuff to sell, I'd be more than willing to look over photos and help identify the items and suggested she sell them at RPG MarketPlace for a less painful experience...

Somebody got a deal, i am sure.

A full set like that, even if not the first print, of which I knew since I first saw the set, would have gone pretty high. I was gonna throw in $125 and I bet it would have come up short.
