There is a minimum reserve price in UK?? You cannot set this price as you want?

unfortunately, last time I had anything of worth (about 12 months ago) the minimum reserve was £50 which sucks.
There was mention of it in a thread with gyg, but I don't recall which one now.

Indeed, in recent experience it is £50 min. You cannot set a reserve for (say) £27.65.  Which is a pointless pain in the ass.

Weird! Is it because of UK laws or anything else? Is there the same restriction in US? IIRC there is no restriction in France (at least the last time I added a reserve price)

I'd doubt it's a law, just ebay being a right royal pain in the ass. Kinda stops me bidding on items with a reserve where the actual market is £20 for instance.

Getting into it, a lot of watching so far. I have not jumped on just a few things so far. This forum is helping a lot. My travels are settling in so I am lurking more.

Looking for those right "lots" right now as I have a LONG way to go with my collection.

Followup:

Seller has mentioned it's "Dad's game collection".

The Dad was Dave Tepool, part of the team of Fantasimulations Associates (q.v., outstanding freelancers back in the '80s, published by FASA, NIPI, and other). The design team included Dave, Greg Poehlein, and Guy McLimore.

Dave passed away about a year ago at age 54, but the others are fine afaik.

Just in case any concerned folks hadn't heard.  :(

Why would you think that breaddoughrising is an Acaeum member?

$344 Seems high to me. Am I missing sarcasm or is there something about this set or lot that pushed the price up?
