Would've thought someone who's been in the gaming industry 35 years might've realised there was a second market previously, rather than thinking that's suddenly "grown" out of nowhere; or at the very least to have built that into their business model. (Guess it's a problem that he can't repeat GW's model on the CG side. Shame...

)

Exactly! Being a regular CG player, I'm finding that you can buy a 'pre-owned' game for sometimes up to half the price, a month after release.

Whilst I appreciate the costs of game developing etc, the starting price for some of the dross produced ensures that only the very best games are bought in mass at release. But taking into account that so many games are now on their 4+ edition, there is a lack of originality.

So many more games are bought used or during 'special weeks' where games prices are dropped considerably, it should only be a matter of time before the game makers start reducing prices surely...?

I read today that Americans consume about 100 acres of pizza a day. I wonder what proportion of that acreage is consumed by role-players.

Are gamers really that into junk food? I've been a pretty healthy eater all my life. I always found it surprising that many people will only use the best motor oil in their car, yet cram their intestines full of the worst food available. I say fuck the car, I can always get another one.

hey guys

if you have me added on facebook, i have a bunch of pics on there of my trip. well worth a look if youre interested. not all are grim looking (less than 1% are like that

good to be back, though only for a lil bit. if my foot recovers enough, am off to south africa end of september for another event.

that said....did everyone enjoy gencon? interesting write ups what i have seen so far...

so whats the lowdown on the NFL for this season coming then? i still have high-hopes for the jets, which will prb end about week 2

I need the stats for a Cave Troll. I have been unable to find a write up about this beast. Needed for an adventure I'm writing up. Can anybody help?
