I have always heard that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I just found a seller that lifted my "standard text" from my auction listings.

I know it's not a big deal but when I was reading the listing for the item it was kind of startling to read something that I had written.

hey guys!

not long back from Mongolia, so just popping in and saying hello...

well i completed the 215km Gobi Challenge, in which the finale of the event ended at the peak of the highest sand dune in Asia (feckin high up believe me). it was an incredible experience and a lot of fun, despite me trashing my left foot (yet again)...at least it wasnt my right as well this time.

it was a great event for me, as i was awarded the Freeman Trophy, for my team spirit and all-round un-selfishness in helping others. so a great time for me!

that said, here is a few pics of my little left toe, some days on from returning..... not a pretty sight if you dont really want to look

hey mike!

well there is ummm about 6 weeks. i cant even get a shoe on yet

but i am hopeful and that toe is slowly not looking like one

i figure if it comes off, i still have 4...so it cant be all that bad

hope youre well and things are going good. reading with great interest all the GenCon stuff. Tims game sounds a hoot and rather interesting reports from the auction hall as well. them toadies are going to ruin that.

looks like its gonna be Dallas again at the moment (if i can fit it in).

am hopefully off to Indonesia next october.

hey

er the shoe will be back on in the next few days. no more time to waste. it did hurt like hell...doesnt now. heel is trashed like last time (looks pretty much the same, hence not doing a new pic) and my big toe is bruised but thankfully didnt fall off this time (yet).

Are we nearly there yet?

You need to soak that thing in Epsom salts... And take lot's of Zinc.

Maybe even to the ice then warm water, back and forth thing thing to get the blood flowing in that toe again.

done. done and um done.

its mostly dead skin which will come away in the next week or so. nail and nail bed is going to come off, and again, that just heals in time. you can see the new skin already.

it will be ok. its not the first time its happened and i have good folk around me who put me back together again (quite literally at times).
