Since it's pretty clear this guy is an asshole -- or has been in the past anyway -- are there any other eBay seller IDs that he uses?

It'd be good to know for any of us to know about a seller with really bad business practices and ethics.

He once used "littleprincessfreya" but that account is currently inactive.

From a customer point of view, the changes were long overdue.

Dave's altered Ebay presence and change of tone is a good example of he benefit for customers.

It is a benefit for his customers.  EBay's customers are the sellers.  And EBay treats them badly.

That's an interesting point but you've got to ask what eBay are actually providing to those people and the answer is customers.  Bad sellers drive away customers from all of eBay, not just that seller, so eBay have to ensure that the customers stay.

It's like a farm market - the animals being sold aren't the customers but they dictate a vast amount of what happens and how it happens, not because they pay any money, but because without them there is no money for anyone.

The buyers are the customers.
Sellers are supply chain partners.
Like WalMart, Ebay believes they can squeeze the supply chain partners to keep customers happy.
They often behave as if their are an unlimited number of replacement supply chain partners.
Ebay is probably right.
So, those of us who are sellers adapt and make it work or we do something else.
Who ever said business was easy?

Just a bump (since I couldn't bump the 100-page locked original forum) to help make newer people aware of this guy because he is still at it. I believe the link to the original locked thread is in the first post. (and of course there's that newer "Cougarrinard scam" thread, as well.)

Admins: If this is out of bounds, I apologize. If this is the case, I will promptly remove this "bump" myself if given that option.

After a draining, grueling and hard-fought war started against me by this guy, after two months and an extreme amount of drama at his end,  I emerge victorious after a prolonged, lengthy appeal process that simply sprung from the fact I would not illegally alter customs forms to his liking. It will be a lengthy and highly detailed posting, and will likely be several days before it is ready because there is so much there, so many details. Before I do post it, I will review eBay rules regarding sharing the nasty, demanding and bullying emails I received from him. (That is: showing screenshots of the actual eBay emails, as opposed to copy/pasting where authenticity might be be called into question.) As a matter of fact, I will give this its own thread due to sheer length.

I fear that many people have been lulled into a false sense of complacency about this unethical, atrocious, evil and not particularly intelligent eBayer, since there haven't been a whole lot of postings about Cougie lately. New and detailed and damning business-related details about this guy need to be posted. I will take the lead, if nobody else is willing. And boy do I ever have a long list of damning details!

You messed with the wrong person, Cougie, and it's sad it's taken you two months to figure this one out. You tried and badly failed to sabotage my account right when I had that 2nd Alpha Print DMG Print up, then you tried to put me out of business, and you even misled eBay UK to initially side with you about my supposedly "counterfeit" items, until I had each and every one of those cases overturned in my favor, with all black marks that surely would have ruined my account, expunged and declared null and void. Of course I got the money back from eBay, and not from you (so you essentially got those three items for free), but as much as you scammed me you cannot do a chargeback or a wire-fraud case or anything else like that, since the refunded money did not come from you. So at least I can rest easy that you have no further legal options on your end.

I wouldn't rest easy if I were you, Cougie. Maybe scamming eBay so they were forced to rightfully pay me, wasn't such a smart move. Just saying . . .

My addition to this thread would have been far too lengthy, so I have started my own thread here:

"cougarrinard" scams himself into eBay trouble.

But by all means, keep this particular thread going!

Haven't read the entire thread, so my question might be answered already. Does Cougarrinard go by any other ebay usernames?

I thought Little Princess Freya was a totally different entity from Cougar?  Wasn't that established in a previous thread?

I can't keep up.

Maybe, but there was a 100 page-long thread with that title.  The link is above.  I think they are one and the same, but even if they are not, they are both trouble... 8)

I am not certain at all but this auction has a certain likelihood with the ones of our friend:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

I can see why you suspect this, but I don't think so.  They are selling primarily estate sale looking stuff and almost no D&D stuff.   :?

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Yeah, I still see him listing stuff from time to time now. Definitely not as active as he was before though.

Still running with the same garbage scams though.
