I think the reduction in interest is in part due to a shift in focus from teh whole community towards d20/3/3/5E. Ever sice we started harping on about RAR, and GG and
TLG made their moves away from
3.5E and CZ respectively, everyone has been accutely aware of the rediculously low prices of future collectables, and the vast profits that may be possible if the right things are bought.
The Acaeum itself has taken a marked shift towards dealing with d20/3/3.5E, whith dayly discussions on threads that a year ago were not even visited by most. Indeed, it may be time we had a seperate sub-segment that dealt with d20/3E and consolidated threads. And an Interesteding d20/3E items on eBay thread dealing with things that dilute other threads.
I suspect those of us who collect non-TSR are enjoying the lack of interest and the reduction in prices that have come with it. At the same time, it must be noted the highest prices I remember for UK fanzines and Tortured Souls!, many times higher than they used to sell for.
This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.
