I am highly unlikely to win or even bid on very many RPG listings on E-Bay this year. Same as the past two years, I bid on and even won a few items, but nothing of note.

However, if on one of those rare occasions when I visit E-Bay and I somehow luck into a BIN for a first edition OD & D item on the cheap, then all bets are off.

I've got to construct a V8 golem. And, collect everything ever written by that Kim Ryan, or whos-it.

Oh man!  I had High Fantasy get loose in my house once...that sucked bigtime!

I couldn't open a cupboard without finding that High Fantasy had gnawed on something or built a nest or crapped all over something.

And, once you've got High Fantasy in your house you're likely to to get Tegels and Runequest.

Tegels...they...like...perch on your shoulder or jump on your back.

And Runequest....anyone whose ever had Runequest knows how itchy it can be.  Drives you nuts!

I finally had to call a gamexterminator.  He got em all bagged up and stored...but...Geez!

I think the first print has an orange cover with a dragon cuddling a fighter and the boxed one is well ... boxed - I haven't seen one of these.  There are about 5 other versions as well.

Mars has the description right on the first print. According to Heroic Worlds, the Boxed set has two books, five character sheets and dice. It is listed on Amazon with an isbn so I assume it exists - but in five years of searching I have never seen one!

If you have either of these and wish to part with them, I am happy to make an offer.

I think I have every other High Fantasy item unless the game book entitled 'Golchester' has a hard cover version (I have this in soft cover)

PS FormCritic - While High Fantasy remains loose in my house, I did get rid of my tegels, spelt 'teegles' in Australia with my Acme Teegle-whacker

Collecting goals for 2008:  (all first or early second edition)

1.  AC5.
2.  H1 Bloodstone Pass and an H3.
3.  B9, B10, and/or B12.
4.  GR1 and/or GR4.
5.  I8.
6.  DDA1, DDA2, DDA3, and/or DDA4.
7.  X10 and/or X11.
8.  DL14.
9.  FR5 and/or FR10.
10. GR1 and/or GR4.
11. CM3.

Will I get them all?  Not likely, but I'll still be looking and hoping!!!
(Heck, if I can get five or six of the individual modules by the end of the year, I'll be happy!)

I'm hoping to find/buy a dozen good nonTSR D&D items that I don't have.  So far, I have picked up Tradervale and Ruins of Quinstead so I am off to a good start.

What is Quinstead?

My goal for 2008 is to sell, sell, sell.
Sorry guys, but my new wife will not tollerate 50+ boxes of D&D stuff, so major thinning out is required. Most of it will go on eBay.
On the upside, we're hopefully going to start breeding little players for DM training. So it's not all bad.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Apparently to recollect all of the modules again. It seems when I loaned all of my original modules to my friend he didn't seem to think that keeping them at all, let alone in any reasonable shape, was important. It's not like a complete collection of modules for 1st ed D&D/AD&D including all monochromes would seem like something someone might want back.

Yes, I know it won't be hard to get these all back, but it will run me a few hundred bucks, maybe more.

I'm mostly speechless. I can't imagine being so careless with something someone else had loaned to me. It boggles my mind.

Well I have about 80+ of the first ed modules so far and I'm going for the rest. Should take about six years, several mortgages and perhaps three divorces. But it'll be worth it   :D
