Interesting.  I don't see yours showing up in Auction Hunter.

Weird.  Here's the listing.  It's eBay item number:
** expired/removed eBay auction **

Banned Sellers list?  :D

Looking at the 3rd picture in your listing the boxed set looks open (no shrink).  My eyes are not what they used to be sadly.

I manually posted your auction to Auction Hunter just now.  Strangely, I can't find it by doing a search on eBay itself:  searching for
Code:
silver anniversary (box, edition, set)
in category 233 doesn't pull it up.

:/ eBay.

Is 233 'Other Fantasy Collectibles'? It works for me now, but fancy search terms (like the parentheses) often yield search results on Ebay that omit items.

I got it to show up, but only by searching all categories.

Here's where you placed it:

Collectibles & Art > Collectibles > Fantasy, Mythical & Magic > Other Fantasy Collectibles

That's an odd place to put it.

It should probably be here:

Toys & Hobbies > Games > Role Playing Games > Dungeons & Dragons > Full Sets

Most D&D collectibles are at least under Toys & Hobbies > Games > Role Playing Games

If switching the category doesn't help with searches, you might want to relist it, or perhaps try editing it to see if you've accidently enabled something that is limiting who can see it.  Also try cutting out the entire title and description and pasting them back in as plain text.

Ebay bought PayPal from Elon Musk, who bought Twitter...it all adds up.

That's a good possibility.  I used that category because listing it there is free.  Still, I would think a search for items using key words should pull up the item regardless.   :?

Hmm.  Maybe that's why it's free?  Search should still work, but it's definitely not where people look for D&D items - ever.

Most people (to include Auction Hunter) do not do eBay-wide searches, as the noise is overwhelming.  They'll restrict it to categories.  Category 233 is Toys --> Games.  2543 is Toys --> Games --> RPGs.

That explains it. I was using your search terms, but benjoshua's category. Which also explains why I take a 'bring the noise' approach to eBay searches. Their titles and categories are a Tower of Babel, where everyone thinks everything should be described in different ways. It wastes a lot of time, but that's time I don't spend actually wasting money on useless collectibles. Besides, sometimes the coincidences are worth seeing. If you search for RuneQuest material about the ancient, dry, dusty & cracked Plaines of Prax, you'll find out that it's also the name of a skin lotion.

The movie comes out tomorrow today. :) Next year is the 50th anniversary. Just like the markets right now, what can go down in price?

Yeah, I put up a 3-Ring D&D Binder up on eBay at a jacked up price just in case people go crazy.   8)

I had my eye on CM3 but wasn't willing to dive in at that price point. Dang.

That's really not a jacked up price for that binder
