I'm hoping to run a few games for my game system (for those that are interested), and *might* be convinced to print a NTRPGCon exclusive (probably BECMI, 1E or 5E) if there's interest.

Looking forward to the trip!!

Thom

Hope to see you there Thom.
I would vote for a 1E version.

Gnat,

Well, the room and flight are booked, and the con pass purchased.  I'll be there!

I'm going to print 2 books for the con (my 2 games are loaded in the schedule, thanks Doug!)... I'm going to run them for my game system so that players can try it out, but the books will probably be cross-system useful.

Thanks, and I look forward to meeting you there,

Thom

Flight and hotel booked!  The round trip flight was just $86.20 (American Airlines from Atlanta).  Yay!   :D   Although, the block rate the hotel quoted me was $108 a night instead of $107 a night.   Hmmmm......   :x

Yeah, it was freaky.  One day the cheapest flight is $176.00 and the next it's less than $100.00.  Go figure.   :?

I've had my hotel room for a while, but just booked my flight today.  A bit more than $86, I'm afraid.  Plus, I need to be home for a family event around noon on Sunday.  So my flight Sunday morning leaves at 7 am.  Ugh.  Sounds like no sleep at all Saturday night for me.

You see, most would have said "Ihave to go to bed early so i can wake up early." Thats the right spirit, Mark!

Game Title :  Scavenge the Sands
Game System : ThrowiGames Simple Roleplaying System (TSRS) -- Sci-Fi Variant, playtest
Number of Players : 2-4
Pregens/Level of Characters: Pregens Provided
World Setting:  Post Apocalyptic Earth, somewhere in New Mexico many years from now
Time Needed: 3-4 Hours

Game Info:  A post-apocolyptic adventure using the new TSRS Sci-Fi rules variant.  New players are welcome, no experience with TSRS is necessary.  Players will receive a free printed copy of the adventure at the end of the session.

Short Description:  Traveling for months in unfamiliar lands, the adventurers and their families have finally secured a water source.  Food however, is the same persistent problem.  After a recent windstorm, someone spotted a strange hill to the north -- a sandy dune with many doors, seemingly abandoned... what could this be?  You have been selected to scout this new area, to search for food and more importantly, threats to your new encampment.  Are you ready to Scavenge the Sands?

Update on NTX Exclusives...

I've just finished writing the TSRS Sci-Fi variant adventure above.  It's currently sitting at 24 total pages, not sure what it will end up at.  *EDIT: this was written for TSRS and d20 (5e) systems*

I hope to playtest it next week and after revisions, will be off to editing the week after.  Art/maps in May sometime.

Remember, if you play this adventure at NTX, you'll get a free copy!

Questions about the con - Is there a dealer room/hall?  If yes, do you need a badge if you just want to come in and shop?

Thanks.

There is no "dealer room" all vendor tables are along the walls in the main gaming hall.

In the past we have allowed people to walk in and browse the vendors instead of having to buy a ticket for the day, and we can probably continue to do that... we are getting more strict at gaming tables and making sure people are wearing badges at the gaming tables so we don't have "scabs" trying to drop in for a free game :)

Just come by the registration desk if you want to walk through and someone will help you  out.

Yep.

I predict a crash...we have 250+ people registered, more than we've every actually had attend one of our cons.  Might put a strain on the old server...
