Guys here is the press release by Jon and Allan's new company...awesome news!

The old school spirit is alive and well in Texas, and getting bigger everyday it seems.

June 6, 2009 -- Goodman Games, developer and publisher of the hugely-popular line of Dungeon Crawl Classics line of adventures for fantasy role-playing campaigns, is pleased to announce an agreement with Black Blade Publishing to publish adaptations of the Dungeon Crawl Classics line of adventures for First Edition fantasy role-playing games. The first release is First Edition Dungeon Crawls: Secret of Smuggler's Cove, adapted from Dungeon Crawl Classics #7: Secret of Smuggler's Cove. This 32-page adventure module is fully compatible with the First Edition of the world's most-popular fantasy role-playing game, any of the other early editions of that game, or any of their modern simulacra.

First Edition Dungeon Crawls: Secret of Smuggler's Cove will be initially released at the North Texas RPG Con in Dallas, TX, June 5-7, and will be available for purchase directly from Black Blade Publishing immediately thereafter.

Black Blade Publishing has scheduled two more releases in 2009, beginning in the fall with First Edition Dungeon Crawls: The Golden Palace of Zahadran, adapted from DCC # 32: The Golden Palace of Zahadran, followed by First Edition Dungeon Crawls: Devil in the Mists, adapted from DCC #40: Devil in the Mists, a sequel to Dungeon Crawl Classics #7: Secret of Smuggler's Cove.

"The old school gaming community continues to build momentum. Some of the more forward-looking members of this community are focused on expanding their love of the hobby by looking forward toward new fans, not only backward toward nostalgia. Jon Hershberger is one such person and I'm glad to be working with him on his Black Blade adaptations," said Goodman Games President Joseph Goodman.

Jon Hershberger, co-founder of Black Blade Publishing, added, "The Dungeon Crawl Classics line of adventure modules has provided countless hours of fun and role-playing goodness for fantasy gamers all over the world. Black Blade Publishing is very excited to publish some of the most popular d20 adventure modules from Goodman Games for the early edition fantasy role-playing games. The quality and quantity of products being introduced in the old school gaming community right now is amazing.  We're really happy to be a part of that thriving old school gaming community."

Founded in 2002 by Joseph Goodman, Goodman Games is a game publisher best known for their Dungeon Crawl Classics adventure modules. For additional information, visit www.goodman-games.com.

Formed in 2009 by Jon Hershberger and Allan Grohe, Wichita-based Black Blade Publishing will begin publishing First Edition Dungeon Crawls in June 2009 under license from Goodman Games. For additional information, visit www.black-blade-publishing.com.

Yeah looked in on that as well.  Nobody sleeping in the hall? What gives! (course is actually 7am, but still)
Has this all been recorded or is it only live feed, because I await some video goodness from this con.

So far, I have determined that Allan seems the easiest to find in the video footage.

Ok guys, we have started, with everyone getting 2-3 hours of sleep (Doug actually got one) we had a bit of a rocky start. Still waiting on Centerstage to crawl out of bed to join Al's game!  If I hadn't had a 6:30 wakeup call I would still be snoring.

Good to see the webcam is working and Grodog's tie-dye is lighted up the room and making eyes bleed.....

We managed to get enough players for all the games, plus some walkins, and were are letting the "classic" gamers sleep in!  Some great "walkins" also....Actually got Dennis Sutarre to sit in on Tacojohn's game, and Adrian Newman (Black Dougal) made an appearance last night and is sitting in on Grodog's game, while Jason Braun is filling a open spot in Al's game. It's going to be fun to watch Tacojohn, Killjoy and Grodog do their thing....I've been peeking at Al's dungeon and it's a TPK waiting to happen.

I can honestly say this is as fun or more fun than Gencon the last couple years....wish more of you guys could be here.....!

Black Blade's module will NOT be convention logoed....only the 4E Tomb of the Blind God.  You'll be able to purchase copies of the 1E copy of DCC7 at the Black Blade website, there will be plenty.  It's been blowing out at the con, it's selling even better than the 4e Tomb!

Doug actually almost slept in the hall....tempting to lay down on the floor and catch some sleep rather than crawl upstairs for an hour......

We are using the live feed, PLUS recording the entire con, so maybe we'll be able to post the juciest bits online at some point.

Killjoy's group are already wandering aimlessly....they are so doomed!

Grodog's group like the professionals they are seem to be taking care of business in the depths of Castle Greyhawk.

Just my thought but I think Taco's group is in trouble as Gnat the Beggar is 100% likely to have his character attack something, pull a switch, or do something catastrophic he's not supposed to do.....

BTW forgot to mention that Tim Kask got the honor of first TPK in NTRPG Con history last night!  Congrats!  In his game after 5+ hours of play they did one thing wrong, which resulted in a 20th level lich summoned that disposed of the party in about 4 rounds.  NICE!

Tacojohn is running Paul Jaquays classic adventure The Lost Temple out of the Book of Treasure Maps.  It looks like he's had special large battlemats made up showing the different areas of the adventure, which is very cool, I'll try to get a photo of the setup.

Al's group has FINALLY entered the manor...they are back on track..unfortunately what awaits them in Tegel will doom them anyway.

Killjoy's special surprise guest stars arrived...Frank Mentzer playing a paladin named Viktor, and a crazy druid played by Tim Kask.  Good thing, they were about two minutes away from disaster, they'll need the extra firepower.

TacoJohn's group is running into troubles too....battle some kind of demonic beings.  Heh heh, I've read Lost Temple, they are in big trouble....

Ok, Killjoy's group surprised me and defeated a Shadow Dragon that I swore was going to kill them. The timely appearance of Frank and Tim is paying dividends for them.

Tacojohn's group took about two hours to take out a golem....they are breaten to a pulp.....and they haven 't even gotten to the hard part yet!

Allan's group are doing pretty well....however their map shows like five rooms explored either they are going really slowly and cautiously or Allan is making them pay for every inch of the dungeon....

Ok, update, Doug is running behind for the BBQ so we have extended gametime a bit....good thing as NO group is anywhere close to finishing....

TacoJohn's group has gotten gunshy and muddling around like old ladies....As I know the last encounter I am anxiously awaiting the final battle here...

Al's group has reached the Revenant and it's beating their ass...

Allan's group...they are on break?  What the hell?  Allan needs to kick a little ass there, they have it way too easy.....
