If you had one, what would you use it for? Seems pointless to me.

I would put any RPG PDF files on it and use it as a reference library.
That said, I am not rushing out to buy one. If I do purchase a pad computer it will be one that is running a Windows platform so that I will be fully compatible with my other computers.

Your employer purchased you an IPad?  Pretty much a waste of resources if you ask me unless they expect you to support them as part of your job.  It's a cool toy and has some interesting uses but I cant imagine someone using it much for work.  No integrated keyboard, only runs specific programs, compatibility issues with Windows applications, etc.

Yes, my employer purchased one for me. We provide an app used on the device, but I do not support that product line. It's a nice gesture... I'm just not sure what I'll use it for other than a glorified MP3 player which is what it is doing right now.

I own one, and agree with the posts above.
If you cannot access the Internet, it's basically an sub-standard laptop.

If you had wifi and 3G, then it's a good little gadget.
I use it as a NetBook for doing things (like this) that I'm
restricted from doing at work.
But it lacks multitasking and Flash player capability.

I download LOTS of RPG PDF files to it, use the Kindle reader,
and I really like the eBay, NatGeo, and Scrabble apps.
And of course Plants vs. Zombies.

I would not shell out the money for Pages, Numbers, etc
There are free word processors and spreadsheets that do just
as good a job.

If I were to grade it on a 1-100 scale, I'd give it an 80.
I'd give my wife's HP Win7 notebook an 85.
And that's saying something because I really don't like Windows.

There's an app that a friend of mine has, in which he physically shakes his iPad for the function of a random number generator!   8O

I know... $800.00 for an RNG... it does look cool though...

"Chucky" appeared to take credit for the Super Bowl run.

Tony Dungy built the Super Bowl winners.

How did the Buccaneers do with "Chucky" after that?  Have you heard him on Monday Night Football?  He's an idiot.

I see the problem, it's in Leicester Square, the main tourist area for Americans... :P

Seriously though, that is one serious amount of fat to be shifted! Mind you, talking of alligators, the news reported a drunk Aussie riding on one yesterday!  8O

Don't tell me that you've never heard of the Houston Astros. Remember to 'rainbow' uniforms of the 70s?

I almost posted a pic yesterday of that uniform!  You mean this one?

I heard that on the radio last night. Brilliant. I love the quote too:

Yes, I live in Texas and I've never heard of the Houston Astros.      As ugly as those uniforms were, they are automatically excluded from any "ugliest uniforms of all time" list because of the star.  Any uniform with a star on it gets a free pass.

Uhh....except this one:

Edit:  Apparently someone didnt like me linking to their picture of the Denver Broncos 1966 uniforms.  Oh well.

RE HOUSTON ASTRO RAINBOW UNIFORMS--

I thought those were the coolest thing I'd ever seen at the time.  In fact I collected a complete set of baseball cards for the Astros in '78 because I liked them so much.

Of course, I was 9 years old at the time.
