Enduring a nine hour economy transit in Istanbul airport. PDT_Armataz_01_08

Don't know the name of the game above, but there was one old game my friends and I used to play back in the Apple II days that I have never been able to find again. Basically it was two player. You each controlled a barbarian with an axe and shield. You'd walk up to each other and battle on a sort of grid. There were disks that made you zoom around the field (if you could find and step on them) and if each player was far from the other, the screen would split into two. In this game you could sever either arm (or both) of the other player. You would get in situations where one player would be chasing the other player down (both riding disks) and one would have both his arms missing.

This was like 1981-2. I tried on some of the old game forums, but have never seen it, and no one has ever heard of it. People thought it may have been a locally developed game.

This airport is horrible for long transits. Have to try and do some work!

Could you try and get out into the city?... it is a few years since I was there last, but there is a lot to see.
Also the old town centre is fairly compact so you could see quite a bit in a few hours. Plus the people are v friendly

I know this isn't the game you mean, but your post reminded me of another game that was a big favorite of mine back in the day on the Apple IIc, "Deathsword"

THAT game was fun.

if it's not an item that was posted here, your only option is an eBay Completed Items search, which keeps most items only for 90 days
if it was a class 4 or 5 Rare, and was posted here by Auction Hunter, it should be in the Rares Formerly on eBay thread. At the top of the thread is a search bar; search for the item's title (not the auction title) -- i.e. "Basic Set"
If it was a class 2 or 3 Rare, I delete those auction results after they complete. However, it may still have been picked up by the Valuation Board's searches. PM me the item and approximate date and I'll take a look.
if it was an auction posted by a forum member, you will only be able to find it by searching the site for the eBay item number. Your feedback listing on eBay might identify the item number. Auctions that fall out of eBay's database, however, revert back to a normal hyperink, so that won't be too useful.

I'm using google's inurl: operator in the above query too, but you see the point, I'm sure. You'll need to refine the keywords you're looking for, since "printing" to relatively useless here, but if you were getting specific advice on how to do printing, or layout, etc., then use those keywords (as well as usernames as keywords, too).

I've learned so much in the production of books with respect to page counts, binding, layout, etc., from the first book I produced 2 years ago up until today - I'm even learning to use new tools for better cover layouts right now...

I'm a one man shop - I write all the content, and do the entire layout - I do hire illustrators of course (man, I wish I could draw!), and will start using professional cartographers (like MonkeyBlood Design) for upcoming work... this leaves most of it to me to all the assembling and creation. Man, if I could just write the content, I could produce 2 books a month! It's the other stuff that takes so much time; being the project manager, coordinating illustrations, printer delays, packaging and shipping, etc. takes more time than writing!

Of course, this is nothing new for many of our Acaeum members who produce regular work (BBarsh and CH, I'm pointing at you!) - I'm sure they've each come up with their own systems to produce their books.

I love the process and enjoy doing it, although admittedly the writing is what inspires me to continue; the coordination, mailing, etc. is the less glamorous part of each project.
