Since the frame isn't included with purchase, its only apparent function must be to hide the module's raggedy condition.

I was thinking the same thing. He doesn't want to show the damage to the modules, won't show you their edges, and won't describe them, but makes it clear you don't get the frame in the auction, so it looks like he may be trying a bit of eBay fraud here.

Either that or he's just a stupid melon farmer?

Now, why would someone put the time and effort to frame a module with the intention of deceptively hiding edges when simply cropping the photo would do the same thing?

Been around a lot of framed drawings and paintings and stuff in my life, and with a few stylistic exceptions, ALL have their edges covered. It's not in an effort to be deceptive, but yes, it does cover up what would be 'ugly', as it's much nicer to see a matte and frame than the edge of the paper or canvas. Modules certainly were not designed to be framed though, so to me it's ugly to see the edges cut off.

He does mention the matte/frame can be bought along with the module for an additional cost, which by the time you add in the cost of the frame, matte and extra shipping, he'll lose money from the purchase price of the frame (assuming of course he paid for it originally).

[/devil's advocate]

Well, it's better than the time serves method of using a scanner.

Hey everyone,

Not sure if this was put up before. If it was I apologize in advance.

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Vintage White Set with All Extra Supplements

http://www.ebay.com/itm/260869824258

OCE with all the supplements, seems a bit pricey at US$350.00 but someone has bid on it. Under an hour to go.

Best regards,

Ronald

Hope it's no one here. Think someone got ripped off unless there's something in there I've missed.

I have a question since long time about ref sheets of different print runs...

Re to the 4th printing, i have a copy with the same ref sheets you see in that auction (basically not the usual ones with the blank first page...) while i recently won a 4th print where i found the same ref sheets of 5th and 6th prints...

so, how has detailed info on ref sheets of different printings?

thanks and ciaooo
