While I have never collected other language editions of books, it is good to know this exists in case I decide to expand my collections at some future date.

So these arrived today. This is a sub collection that was started and finished in one purchase. Found all in a single buy.

Pretty good shape too other than last issue has a page where someone tore out an advertisement or mail in form I am guessing. Will have to replace it at some point, but happy for now.

Finished another part of the collection today. Back to the novel based games. Got the last set I needed for these today. Took a bit of effort to find the last few in good shape with the original box still.

Now I just have the TSR Fantasy Forest series to complete and I should have all the interactive novel based games they did in the 80s/90s.

Nice set! Took me awhile to complete it as well. Supposedly there was a #12 never published by James Ward titled 'Prisoner Of Pharoh's Tomb' I think it was a Doc Strange adventure

I don't know if there was any released at all, someone on this site might know or possibly own a copy

So not really a complete as there was only the 1, but finally after numerous attempts got one of these! Got this one much less than many previous attempts as well...guess sometimes losing an auction is a good thing as that great buy later comes along!

I was finally able to complete this set. Last book arrived today after many months of searching. Nice when it finally comes together!

Well done, wyvern. I wish I hadn't seen them, though. Now I'll have to pick them up; I sold mine off quite a while ago and IIRC they'd be really useful for playing. Maybe I can find a set that has been beaten to death.

I have a few different printing editions, but still all the English releases. These are all 1st prints except the III book. I have a first print, but in bad shape, so not sure if I will keep it anyway or pass it on to another that might want it.

1 - 5 are not too hard to find in decent shape. 6 and 7 are rare, or people are asking insane prices for them. 1 - 3 are still in later printings from the publisher if I recall, so can get them new.

I have dupes of 1 - 5 I may be putting on ebay at some point.....trying to decide if I want to keep my first print of III even though in rough shape (cover and pages have a lot of stains).

They look like great books for building your own campaigns with, something I always enjoyed doing, so hoping to get some play time with these someday. Nice thing is they should work with nearly any version of any Fantasy RPG with only some minor adjustments. (I have 1st and 3rd/Dot.5 Dungeons and Dragons which is main system I would use them for).

It's true that VI and VII 1st pr. are hard to find at decent prices (even if the VI is still available on FBI website though Catalyst). Some prints of I-V as well.
If you collect English version, you should grab the UK version too to complete the set.

I am wondering what differences exist between the 1st and 2nd prints of the CB I. The 3rd has the star logo (Award winner), not the 1st. What about the 2nd (which was published in 1983 as the 3rd)?

These citybooks are very interested from a gamer point of view too. Plenty of very usefull stuff. A must have for everyone.

The second is printed in Sept 1983 and also has the Award Winner Star Logo. It is the "Blade" version and says "Distributed by Task Force Games" at the bottom on the cover.

Citybook VI is actually much more difficult to find than any of the others - it has been out of stock and since early 2000. They first started saying it would be reprinted by May 2006, then by Christmas 2007, \ldots, then by "shortly (?)" so it hasn't been available for very long time now from Flying Buffalo.
